After Stealing Hero's Mother, I Reincarnated in the Fantasy World!

Chapter 81: The most honest, generous and honorable man

Since there was still plenty of time before the semi-finals of the tournament, Rain decided to spend it to his advantage, which was to go out to eat.

What could be better than a hearty lunch after an intense workout?

Especially since the tournament fights were far from the only fights he went through.

Since early morning, he had been fulfilling his duties as a responsible student and helping Amelia, the older sister of the hero Cale, in the office with her important research. Having 'expanded' her horizons widely enough, he left her to deal with the fruits of their work together.

"There's a reason I was told as a child to listen to my teachers. After listening to her moan I feel smarter."

He also didn't forget about his much-loved sister Liana, spending hours helping with her student work until she was finally satisfied. But even after that, his gratuitous help didn't stop, eventually causing her to beg for mercy...

Rain shook his head with a bitter smile on his lips.

Where else would you find such a noble man willing to give his all for the sake of others? Is it possible that he was too kind?

[...]

Suddenly, his inner musings were interrupted by a sigh from the system.

"Oh, Nari, do you think so too?"

Rain inquired of his faithful and always honest system.

[Yeah... you are the best...]

"That's what I'm saying. Eh, sometimes it's so hard to be a good person."

With those words, Rain reached his destination. It was the dining hall for the nobles.

He had never eaten here before, but now he was hungry enough that he was ready to eat anything.

This place looked like... a dining hall for nobles?

Nice soothing atmosphere, comfortable tables standing a decent distance apart and a wide selection of all sorts of food.

Glancing around the dining hall, Rain moved. But not toward the tables across from him, but in the other direction.

He, as a student of the Elite Class, was given even better facilities - a separate mini room with the possibility to order all the food.

There were many examples of such treatment, which was one of the reasons why many students were willing to do anything to get into the Elite Class.

Entering one of the available rooms using his pass, he looked around.

Not too bright, pleasing to the eye, two red velvet sofas and a decorated table between them.

Sitting down on one of the couches and opening the interactive menu lying on the table, he quickly ran through the menu of all sorts of dishes and ordered as many as he could.

All that was left was to wait for it all to be prepared and brought.

Spending this time in peaceful silence, Rain used it to think about his future plans.

The final and semi-final were different from the previous matches. They were held not in closed rooms under the supervision of one instructor, but in a wide open space, under the gaze of many spectators.

The semi finals were usually attended by everyone who had lost their elimination bouts in the tournament to watch the remaining ones, hoping to pick up something for themselves, and the rest of the spectators would join them, gathering a crowd.

The finals, however, were held in a much larger venue, closely watched by a large number of students from all courses and the academy's top leadership, from the usual teachers and instructors to the academy's principal.

Rain thought about who he would have to face in the finals of this tournament.

Hero Gray.

One of the chosen of the World's Will and the one destined to win this tournament.

'It'll be very funny if he doesn't make it to the final.'

Although it was almost impossible. With the protection and support of the Will of the World, how could he lose?

Of course, Rain himself was hoping Gray would make it to the finals. To be honest, he was very hopeful.

'If not him, how am I going to win a bet with my rebellious little sister?'

Rain had never forgotten the bet he had made with Eliana, who believed strongly in Gray, just after arriving in this world, nor the wish that was at stake.

'He's going to be a great tool to start taming this little sister.'

Knock! Knock!

His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. A couple seconds later, the door opened and a few waitresses brought in all the food he'd ordered.

In the blink of an eye, his table was littered with dishes of every color and size, including rare fish, meat from animals unknown to him, and outlandish fruits. There was an amount of food here that was impossible for a human – at least a normal human – to eat.

The waitresses cast him a curious glance before walking away.

Rain didn't pay much attention to it. He'd always had a good appetite, but since the awakening of his bloodline, his natural needs had taken on a new level, and with each increase in it, his appetite – in many ways – grew even more.

The only appetite he had satisfied so far in this world was an appetite for women, but now it was time to satisfy another.

After 17 plates were eaten, Rain stopped and exhaled in satisfaction.

The food here was good. Even by his standards, as someone who had tasted all sorts of dishes in his past world, this food seemed good.

Of course, it wouldn't compare to Liliana's homemade food, prepared by her delicate hands with all her love, but for food prepared by others, it wasn't a bad level.

"Someday I should definitely take the time to explore the cuisine of this world."

From all this nourishment, Rain felt a newfound power in his body and his muscles swelling with renewed vigor. With a new boost of energy, he turned to the system.

"Nari, project in my head the last fight I had."

There were a few things from the fight with Lamel that he wanted to learn. He didn't have time to pay attention to it during the fight, so he decided to study it now.

[Okay. Steal points will be deducted automatically.]

After her reply, Rain closed his eyes and after a while his recent fight scrolled in front of him from start to finish.

"Ha, that fabric maniac really..."

Reviewing it once more, he resolved any concerns he had. Having completed this, he thought about his system once more.

'That's convenient.'

The versatility of the system never ceased to pleasantly surprise him. As long as there were steal points, the system didn't limit him in anything.

Although he had already earned enough steal points during this morning with Amelia and Liana, he was sure he would need more in the future.

"That means I have to work even harder to earn them."

Of course, that wasn't the only reason he acted.

"I consider it my duty as a human being, so even if I have to sacrifice my body, I won't hesitate to do so."

His eyes shone with a righteous light as he said this in an honest tone with full determination to give his all to his cause.

[If someone doesn't know how you earn them, you can be mistaken for a noble and hard-working person.]

"Because it is. How is my goal of making all the women in the world happy any different from a noble one?"

[Yeah, yeah, you are the most honest, generous and honorable man I know, Rain.]

Her voice was openly sarcastic.

"Why do I get the feeling you think otherwise?"

[Of course not, the–most–honorable–and–decent–man–I–have–ever–met.]

As Rain pondered how to earn a new batch of steal points and those who would help him with it, the system sighed and quietly added in a complicated tone. Your next chapter is on empire

[This is really not the adventure I was expecting... not what the Goddess promised me...]
