Dragon Ball: I Am Broly

Chapter 26: End

Broly and Frieza stood motionless in the air for a brief moment, as if time had frozen.

However, what seemed like a standoff lasted only a blink.

The reality was clear: Frieza was being brutally overpowered. Every attempt to defend himself was futile; no matter how hard he fought, Broly struck him again and again with an unrelenting force. Frieza was sent flying after every hit, with no chance to counterattack.

And Broly?

Not only did he show no signs of exhaustion, but with every strike, his aura grew in intensity. His energy seemed to feed off each blow, becoming even more powerful.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

With a roar, Broly unleashed a surge of Ki that made the air around him vibrate. Before Frieza could stabilize himself after being flung backward, Broly charged at him with a speed impossible to follow with the naked eye.

He was like a bolt of unleashed fury.

In the blink of an eye, he reached Frieza and delivered a devastating uppercut to his abdomen.

"URGH!"

The impact left Frieza paralyzed. His body bent backward as a choked scream escaped his lips.

Pain coursed through him from head to toe, and before he could catch his breath, Broly was already preparing his next move.

Without giving him a chance to react, Broly delivered another punch, this time directly to Frieza's temple.

Bang!

The strike landed in the same spot as before, amplifying the damage. Frieza was completely dazed.

His vision blurred as his body wobbled uncontrollably in the air before plummeting toward the ground.

Boom!

Frieza's body created a massive crater, occupying nearly half the battlefield. From the center of the crater, deep cracks began to spread, tearing apart the terrain and causing the entire field to tremble as if on the verge of collapse.

From the air, Broly let out a roar that echoed like thunder, clenching his fists as he unleashed all his pent-up fury.

"AAAAAHHHHH!!!"

His roar seemed to signal the end of the fight.

But it wasn't over.

Without pausing to revel in his victory, he descended like an arrow toward Frieza, his gaze filled with murderous intent.

The air around him howled as his fist was enveloped in green Ki.

"STOP! ENOUGH! THIS ENDS HERE!"

Frieza, who lay at the bottom of the crater, was utterly terrified.

His body trembled, barely able to move. Watching Broly approach like a missile, he had no choice. With the little pride he had left, he raised his right hand in surrender.

Broly's fist stopped just inches from his head.

The air froze for a moment, and the Ki surrounding his fist dissipated.

Swish...

"..."

"Thank you for being my training partner."

Broly's voice broke the tense silence as his expression, once fiery and fierce, began to calm gradually.

His eyes now reflected an unexpected serenity.

He descended to the ground calmly, looking at Frieza, who was still embedded in the crater.

Why had he fought Frieza?

It wasn't a meaningless battle or a mere outburst of rage. He had a clear purpose. He wanted to gain combat experience before reaching Earth and also learn new abilities.

Everything he had learned so far had been through hardship, in the heat of battle.

Now that he had achieved both goals, and with Frieza surrendering to end the fight, there was no point in continuing.

Pressing further could push Frieza to use his golden form, which would only complicate things. With that in mind, he deemed the battle over.

"Then, I'll take my leave for now."

Without a hint of attachment, he turned and began to walk away.

To him, the confrontation was over.

The protective barriers around the stands deactivated.

"Lord Frieza!"

Sorbet ran toward the crater, rushing to help Frieza, who remained trapped in the rubble.

But Frieza didn't want his sympathy.

With a furious scream, he shoved Sorbet away.

"Get out of my sight!"

With difficulty, he managed to stand. His body trembled—not from physical pain, but from humiliation.

His eyes rose, watching the figures of Broly, Cheelai, and Lemo as they walked away. His heart was frozen, yet boiling with uncontrollable fury.

"This... this is unforgivable!"

He clenched his teeth, grinding them so hard it was almost audible. At that moment, deep within himself, he made a decision.

Broly had been sentenced to death.

"When my revenge on Earth is complete... I'll personally ensure Broly's demise."

His gaze darkened, and a cold, murderous intent consumed him.

Not only had Broly signed his death warrant, but so had Cheelai and Lemo.

No one could witness Frieza being beaten and live to tell the tale. His pride, his image as an emperor, had been crushed.

Frieza clenched his fists, his mind replaying the fight.

How was it possible for Broly to learn his abilities just by watching them once?

How could someone adapt and surpass him so quickly?

Broly's talent wasn't just overwhelming—it was terrifying. At the beginning of the battle, Frieza had believed they were evenly matched. But after just a few exchanges, the balance tipped drastically, turning the fight into a beating.

Every ability he used, Broly had replicated and improved upon in an instant. That monstrous talent was something Frieza couldn't ignore.

He knew that, with time, Broly wouldn't just match him—he would completely surpass him.

And worse, it was evident that Broly would never submit to anyone. He hadn't even shown respect by addressing him with honorifics.

The proud King Frieza couldn't tolerate someone like that in his army. Initially, he had considered keeping Broly as a general, thinking his power would be invaluable. But now… that idea seemed laughable.

"Ho... Ho~..." With a bitter laugh that twisted into a sneer of disdain.

"When my revenge is done, they'll all die by my hand!"

Back in his quarters, Broly dropped his combat gear to the ground, revealing his imposing musculature.

His body, perfectly sculpted, was covered by a tight black shirt that clung to every line of his muscles.

He slowly clenched his fists, the muscles in his arms tensing. His face, usually calm, transformed.

A smile spread across his lips, filled with excitement and satisfaction.

For the first time since recovering his memories, he had experienced a true challenge.

Frieza had been his first truly significant opponent. By comparison, figures like Zeus, Thor, or Odin were nothing more than insignificant ants.

How could they compare to Frieza?

With a single finger, Frieza could crush them all. They, who many would consider untouchable beings, were nothing compared to the galactic emperor he had just faced.

But what excited him most wasn't surviving the fight—it was what he had gained. After the battle with Frieza, he could feel it clearly: his power had grown exponentially.

Not only had he mastered the energy within his body, but he had also taken it to a new level.

At the start of the fight, he had barely been able to stand, moving clumsily as he tried to adapt. But as the blows were exchanged, he only got better.

Not only had he quickly familiarized himself with combat, but he had also copied Frieza's techniques. Every ability, every move… he had replicated them, often improving upon them.

And beyond that, there was something more.

His strength didn't just grow with each fight—it evolved at a pace that defied logic. In his base form, he could feel that he had reached an entirely new level.

The stronger his base form became…

The more overwhelming his Wrathful state, Super Saiyan form, and advanced transformations would be!

"An unprecedented talent!"

Though he hadn't yet discovered how to transform into a Super Saiyan, he could feel it: he was closer than ever.

And the most impressive part was that even without transforming, he had enough confidence to face a Super Saiyan Blue in his Wrathful state.

A few more fights… and in his base form, he would surpass even a Super Saiyan Blue.

Now, reflecting on the battle, he was certain of one thing: if he faced Frieza again, he would crush him with a single hand.
