Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Chapter 34 - An Unsettled Qin An

This bow is quite interesting, with an impressive range of 400 meters, which is at least twice the distance of a typical bow.

However, Lin Feng found himself unable to utilize it effectively. It seemed the bow was destined to gather dust.

Perhaps he could give the bow to Qin An, to provide him with some kind of lifesaving measure.

Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.

Qin An’s avatar suddenly lit up.

Qin An: “Have you left the elevator? I have something very important to tell you.”

Lin Feng: “What’s up?”

Lin Feng replied, puzzled.

Qin An: “If you ever enter a floor with a Succubus, never, ever approach her!”

Lin Feng: “Approach a Succubus? Holy cow! You lucky dog! So, you were drained by a Succubus on the previous floor?”

Qin An: “Just… just don’t. If you ever find yourself in a room with a Top-grade Succubus, resist the temptation, no matter how much she tries to seduce you!”

Lin Feng: “What exactly happened?”

Qin An: “I can’t quite explain it. Just remember my words.”

Lin Feng: “Well… alright then.”

Though confused, Lin Feng made a mental note of it.

In another elevator, a distraught Qin An lay on the bed. Much like Lin Feng had guessed, he had been ‘drained’, but the good news was it was a draw.

Qin An felt as though he was near death, but thankfully, he managed to maintain his dignity as a man.

He didn’t even remember how he had made it back.

Originally, he just wanted to relax a bit, but ended up being ‘relaxed’ quite a few times.

In the end, the Succubus told him she was very satisfied and rewarded him with a ring.

As for its use, Qin An hadn’t looked closely at it at the time. Now, lying down, he picked up the ring again.

Suddenly, he noticed a line of text on the ring.

“Charm: The wearer’s charm will increase.”

Qin An: “……………”

I nearly died for this piece of junk??

What does a big guy like me need with charm??

To charm my best buddy???

Oh well, it was bought with nearly half my life, might as well wear it.

After slipping the ring onto his finger, Qin An managed to get up and found some high-calorie food. If he didn’t replenish his nutrients, he might not make it to the noon floor.

After eating two cans of beef and drinking a large bottle of water, Qin An checked the spare bullets for his gun.

His real identity was actually a mercenary, who later retired to become a bodyguard. His employer had him protect a rich second-generation kid in a university.

Over time, he became familiar with Lin Feng.

Despite his rich experience, he was only a year older than Lin Feng.

After his first year of high school, he was expelled due to misconduct.

At the time, he was obsessed with novels about mercenaries, so he decided to run away overseas to war-torn areas, becoming a cannon fodder.

But this guy was a tough cookie.

After several years of surviving without a single injury, he even formed his own mercenary group.

That was before he retired and returned home to work as a bodyguard.

“I have only seven bullets left. I need to conserve them. They should last me through a couple of floors.”

…………………

On the other hand, Lin Feng was having a relaxed day.

He was comfortably roasting meat, while looking at a bunch of messily assorted medicines that Wang Lei had given him.

Although the labels were in English, the instructions in the packaging surprisingly came in Chinese.

In the end, Lin Feng took inventory: he had a bottle of Viagra.

A bottle of Cardiac Stimulant Pills, two bottles of blood pressure lowering drugs, a box of anti-inflammatory medication, three boxes of Antipyretics, and a bottle of painkillers.

Any one of these medicines could cause a frenzy at the Trading Post.

After some thought, Lin Feng listed two Antipyretic pills on the Trading Post.

Each box of Antipyretic contained 18 pills, a pretty substantial quantity.

Lin Feng planned to use these two pills to exchange for what he needed to upgrade the elevator.

He still needed a hundred kilograms of copper and twenty kilograms of iron.

Though it was unlikely that anyone would have any copper to spare at this stage, with so many people around, there was always a chance.

Two Antipyretic pills in exchange for a hundred kilograms of copper and twenty kilograms of iron might sound absurd.

But with the decreasing temperature, many people were falling ill from the cold.

These two Antipyretic pills could very well be life-saving elixirs.

In the Chat Room.

Lin Feng: 【I’ve listed two Antipyretic pills. If you need them, act quickly. Only two available, once they’re gone, they’re gone!】

【Holy crap! A level 6 big shot! Now there’s probably only one person with a level 6 elevator, right?】

【As expected of a level 6 big shot, even has medicines for sale. I better hurry and buy some to stock up!】

【Don’t bother, the big shot is asking for a hundred kilograms of copper. Where are we going to find that? I guess upgrading to a level 7 elevator will require copper. Better start hoarding.】

【Boss, don’t remove the listing, I’ll start gathering copper right away!】

【The new Royal Club is open! We meet by chance, and for a small fee, you can experience the feeling of flying. We have a variety of beauties for you to choose from: Lolis, Mature Beauties, Ha Mei, Mature Women. The new Royal Club, feels like home.】

……

【The ads are here again. Has anyone ever been to the club? Is it really fun?】

【I’ve been there. I’m the most qualified to speak. I spent two gold coins for the experience, it was very nice!】

【Two gold coins? That’s so expensive! You’re not a shill, are you?】

……..

Soon, the Chat Room’s conversation was derailed by the sudden appearance of the new Royal Club ad.

Lin Feng glanced at the ad. It wasn’t posted by his good friend, so it seemed that Qin An had finished his spree.

But Lin Feng was able to confirm something based on the reactions of these people.

Most of them were not progressing as fast as he was.

And many of them were short on medicine.

Lin Feng smiled at the constant flicker of private messages.

As for lowering the price?

Sorry, he wouldn’t do that.

When he listed the medicines, he specifically checked the Trading Post and found no one else selling medicine.

There wasn’t even any disinfectant alcohol.

This just showed how precious medicines were.

By this time, the number of people who had bookmarked Lin Feng’s trade information had reached over a hundred thousand.

And it looked set to continue rising.

Lin Feng didn’t believe that, among so many people, there wouldn’t be someone who could find some copper.
