HP X LOTM : Please Call Me Mr. Error.

Chapter 368: The Other Side.

An old man raised his hand, but the woman kneeling on the floor before him remained still as if it didn't matter.

Not even when the old man pulled out her wand and slowly stroked it.

"Magic…"

"It has been long since I've been in touch with this…"

"I asked 'Him' about it but he's still unhappy with me touching his things…"

The woman's eyes widened slightly but she said nothing, yet even then the old man sitting before her seemed to have caught onto her questions.

"...yes…It has been long since he's conquered and uncovered the truth behind Magic…"

"I have too…"

"We just have to wait for the right time to turn things around…"

"And then we'll have all of it in our hands…"

The woman underneath him felt her blood turn cold, yet she did her utmost to make sure that none of it showed on her face or even on the tips of her mind.

She went a step further as she masked her true thoughts with another.

It seemed to have worked this time since the man redirected his questions at her thoughts.

"Have you got 'her'?"

The woman nodded quickly.

"Good."

"I want you to make sure that she forgets anything regarding 'him'. Any relation 'she' has with 'him'. Make sure you erase it. Not even a spec must remain."

The woman felt a slight chill at the harshness in the old man's heart, but her body showed no change, instead, she simply nodded plainly as if she was already used to such orders.

Neither moved yet and the man seemed to catch onto why the woman was still hanging around.

"Don't worry."

"Your daughter will be safe."

"No other place is safer than Hogwarts."

"As long as you make sure that 'he' doesn't come in contact with 'her' again and realise that 'she' has been changed, your daughter will be freed."

The woman's eyes instantly turned watery, but she quickly blinked away her tears as a firm resolve showed up in her gaze.

She looked up at the old man who was looking at her wand and nodded firmly when their gazes met.

"Good job…good job." The old man said.

The woman stood up, accepted her wand from the old man and bowed deeply as she spoke in a calm voice-

"Praise the Angel of Future."

A smile broke on the face of the old man as he spoke with a hint of humour.

"I hope you remain vigilant Cassandra. You know the burden of the future is on your shoulders. You are the only one capable of fooling 'him'."

Cassandra nodded and quietly vanished using apparition.

The old man slowly stood up as he walked over to the mirror hanging in his otherwise solitary room.

"Did you see that Albus…It'll be your time to rule the world soon."

A face shimmered into the mirror which anyone else would recognise as the worlds greatest wizard, Albus Dumbledore.

"Don't be stupid Gellert." Albus said with a deep frown as if he had been deeply offended by the words that Gellert had just spoken.

There was a tense pause as Gellert looked at the mirror with a frown.

"What do you mean Albus? Don't tell me you won't overthrow 'Their' reign. They've remained ignorant of your greatness long enough."

Dumbledore smiled softly as he shook his head.

"As always Gellert, you're jumping to conclusions…No I wasn't talking about that. Those that repay love with hate don't understand its value-"

"-But you aren't going to accept them are you? When you can corrupt them and kill 'Her' to revive as the God Almighty?"

Dumbledore laughed softly as if Gellert had cracked a funny joke.

"Such things don't matter Gellert, they don't matter as long as it'll be us at the throne and not just me alone, I want you to be there beside me."

Gellert's frowning face slowly morphed into a smile as he took some pride in himself while straightening out his collar.

"I don't care about being a True God Albus. As long as you make me a King Of Angels I'll be happy enough."

Albus smiled and then shook his head, "You don't have to worry about me missing a Beyonder Characteristic. I can separate an imaginary one for you."

They looked into each other's eyes for a few seconds before the mirror broke the connection, reflecting their own faces once again.

Grindlewald's smile immediately dropped as he slowly moved closer to the mirror that was in front of him.

When Gellert reached the mirror, however, he didn't stop, instead, he walked right into it.

As if it were a portal to another world.

The mirror rippled like a liquid as it accepted Gellert's body, allowing him to slip into it like he was walking into a pool.

Gellert blinked as he entered the mirror and when he opened his eyes he found himself standing in the exact same spot he had just been standing at.

Except everything in the world around him looked like it was flipped unnaturally.

Objects that he shouldn't have been able to see because he just had his back against them were visible to him like he had turned around.

Gellert looked around for a few seconds before walking straight to a couch as he sat down comfortably.

"Are you not going to show yourself today?" Grindelwald asked.

A thin voice leaked into Gellert's ears as a response which caused him to activate all his mental defences to force his body's hormones to calm down.

"No. You are too weak to handle my presence."

Trying not to let anything affect him, Gellert spoke normally.

"Can't you use that body you always do?"

"No. She's out on a mission."

"Helping the foolish puppet 'He' has set up to rule Britain?"

"...."

The lady said nothing.

"Ha~! Why are you so afraid of even speaking about him? I told you already, as long as you don't allow the words to travel out of the mirror dimension, he'll never know."

The voice remained silent.

"Fine. Fine." Gellert acquiesced, raising his hands in mock surrender.

"Why are you here?" the sensual voice asked again.

"Simple. I have a way to gain leverage over 'Him'."

Although he couldn't see the person speaking to him, Gellert was sure he'd heard a faint *gasp* somewhere.

"No!"

"This can't be!"

"No! No! N-"

"It was rather easy actually. I just had to figure out who he cared about the-"

"NO!!!!!!!" The voice practically screamed. "WHAT EVER IT IS YOU THINK YOU'VE DONE. STOP AND ASK FOR FORGIVENESS! THAT WILL BE MY LAST WORDS FOR YOU!"

And before he even knew it, Gellert found himself back in the normal world, sitting on the sofa he was just sitting in but facing the opposite direction.

Gellert frowned as he felt his ears *buzz* but he quickly waved his hand over it and caused them to *pop*.

'Why is everyone so afraid of 'Him'?'

''He' doesn't even have a body yet.'

'…'

Loki woke up on his bed with an excited smile on his face.

"Sunny!" Loki said out loud.

And as if Sunny had actually heard him in the spirit world he peaked out of a portal and looked at Loki.

"How did you do that?" The little Niffler asked bewildered.

"How did I do what?" Loki asked with an amused little smile.

"That! However, you summoned me! It felt exactly like how you summon me using the whistle but also different at the same time!"

Loki smiled mysteriously but didn't respond to that question-

In reality, the method wasn't very different, after Loki had studied how the whistle worked in shortening a ritual, Loki simply initiated the ritual by manipulating his spirituality and activating it like a spell when he called Sunny's name.

-instead, Loki asked something else.

"Are you prepared for today?"

Sunny rolled his eyes and nodded heavily.

"Yeah, I am. I know I have to digest my potion and perform the advancement ritual, but are you sure that I won't get caught or worse corrupted? Snakey said that it was risky to fight 'Him' or any Beyonder from that pathway for that matter."

It was Loki's turn to roll his eyes this time.

"Who do you trust more? Me or that foolish little snake that's self-conscious about how big he actually is?"

The Niffler's eyes narrowed.

"Don't do that! He's a nice little Snake! Not all snakes need to be tiny! Big ones can be good too!"

"Are you seriously going to believe that he's a 'good' guy? Don't fall for the oldest trick in the book. He's tricking you all and you don't even know it." Loki rolled his eyes before standing up and going to the washroom to freshen himself up.

The Niffler didn't want to argue anymore and he quickly left, leaving behind last words.

"Make sure you win today, otherwise all our plans and preparations will be wasted."

Loki waved his hand and shut the door to the washroom, glancing at his reflection in the mirror as he gave himself an encouraging smile.

'Third task of the Triwizard Tournament, here I come!'
