Chapter 20: Chapter 20

{A/N: My brain got a bit foggy towards the end of this chapter so it might not be the best.}

1st Pov

Standing to his full height The Amalgam steps out of the crater, using my powers I compress the space around the 200x200 metre fighting arena. Doing this allows me to effectively cut off our fight from the rest of space meaning we won't affect the planet.

Designating one thought train to holding the separation I slowly circle the man made monstrosity, The Amalgam for his part seems to be pretty dumb all things considered and only turns to follow me. Flexing my psionics I attempt to use my matter manipulation to pull apart his armour but am blocked by a red energy shield originating from the gem.

Dashing towards me the air catches fire as The Amalgam reaches low re-entry speeds easily surpassing the sound barrier, dodging by moving the space I'm in I narrowly avoid the devastating hit. If that attack was The Amalgams full speed I should be able to react, dodging though may be a different story as my physical attributes fall behind.

Seeing The Amalgam stop almost instantly and rocket back at me I dodge again, keeping up this routine for less than a second almost a thousand blows are traded as the unstoppable force continues its assault.

Using this little time I consider my options, from what I know the base of The Amalgam is the Juggernaut meaning he can't be stopped once he starts moving. The Amalgam also likely has psychic attacks he can use and is protected by adamantium.

Thinking it over my best option is likely to psychically attack his mind, with his incredible speed and physical prowess I won't be able to stop him even if he didn't have the Juggernauts signature ability, and with the resistance of his armour and his red shield my attacks can't get through.

Continuing my dodging I attempt to bombard his mind with massive amounts of information, unfortunately for me Charles really liked being annoying and he added a protective circuit similar to the one in Magnetos helmet.

Pouring more energy into my attack I'm able to get some of the information mush through but its filtered out by The Amalgams slave minds. Realising these attacks aren't working I have to devise a new strategy. Dodging an extra close swing I realise I have to hurry this fight up as The Amalgam is getting closer.

Mentally reviewing all my skills and abilities one by one I cross them out, thinking of a few possible ideas I give them a go. Grabbing the space around the Amalgams heart I attempt to forcefully teleport it out but am stopped by the red gem again.

Moving on I attempt to compress space around him to crush him, but like a true brawler he tears his way out of the compressed space. Getting nervous my energy is continuously plummeting from the constant dodging and holding together this space, even now I can feel some hits slipping out and devastating the area.

Realising space based attacks likely won't work I desperately try to think of something else. Electricity course around me as I attempt anything to stop this monster. Channelling a good amount of energy into my electrical generation skill, I form a large ball of pure energy in my hands.

Focusing my minds I try and analyse his movements whilst building up charge, finding a suitable spot I aim the electricity and a beam of lightning shoots out. Hitting dead on The Amalgam spasms violently as 10000 volts of electricity course through him.

After a few seconds I run out of charge and the beam stops. The Amalgam for the most part looks unphased by my attack, walking out a thin layer of smoke the only damage I can see are some scorch marks on his chest plate.

Though looking closer I can see a crack in the red gem, groaning as I continue dodging the relentless beast I try and think. At the moment my largest problem is the armour and gem, is I could remove them I could attack The Amalgam.

Wishing I had something to shrink him or teleport him out of his armour I continue looking through my items, then like a beacon of light I find it. Holding a half bottle of Gender Change potion in my hand I consider what might happen.

When Tessa took this potion she rapidly shrunk, so assuming it works the same on The Amalgam I could remove the armour. Watching the creatures movements I try to predict its path, though before I can act The Amalgam quickly changes direction mid step.

Unable to dodge fully the attack hits me and I'm sent flying, looking down my health shield was able to take a lot of the damage but some still went through and now there's a bowling ball sized hole in my side.

Dodging again The Amalgam's moves continue to change, gathering my scattered parts slowly I continue looking for an opening. Finding one I launch the bottle, the bottle arcs through the air in slow motion to my sped up perception.

Seeing it The Amalgam is about to dodge it but decides to instead tank it, with a crack of glass the bottle smashes harmlessly on his mouth a few drops entering. Dodging the blow, I watch as The Amalgam explodes in a blue and pink mist.

Dodging a wonky shot I look at the transformed beast, when the gender change potion landed it shrunk them slightly. For a normal person shrinking wouldn't be that bad but for a creature who relies on muscle memory and has foreign augmentations its deadly.

The Amalgam now far more damaged tears the broken pieces of metal out of their body, tossing them to the side. Seeing the gruesome bone deep wounds all over the Amalgam I'm surprised it's still standing.

Seeing there's still pieces of metal in its body I grab a second bottle and throw it at the enraged Amalgam, once again the bottle crashes into the beast in a cloud of pink and blue particles. When the particles clear I'm greeted by a horrifying site.

It seems adamantium wins out, in front of me the once mighty Amalgam is stuck impaled on the very implants that held its power together, the thick adamantium parts not giving in the slightest. Walking around the trapped creature I look for the Gem, finding it I poke it with a stick before sealing it in a plastic bag with tongs.

After I made sure I don't have to physically touch the very powerful gem I place it in my inventory. Turning back to The Amalgam I can see it's exposed muscles twitching as it tries to escape its metal prison.

I must admit he is certainly resilient, here he is, a mass of flesh in a vaguely human shape stuck in a shell that didn't line up properly. Now without the gem I place my hand on his helmet and attempt to manipulate it, succeeding almost instantly I turn his helmet into a ingot.

Looking at his face his eyes are bloodshot, coming out of the bone around his eyes are a few poles likely meant to hold the helmet in place. The most grievous injury on him is definitely the pole through his head.

Looking at his twitching but still alive form I move behind him, by now I've regathered all my scattered parts and reformed my side, but I still haven't recovered my health shield. Now behind him I lay my hand on the device embedded in his back and after a quick scan I scrap it.

Now free The Amalgams slave minds slowly scatter into the air no longer being tortured. Checking over the Amalgam I gently disconnect the MGH running into him, and step back. Looking at the Amalgam I'm still not sure how he's not dead but decide to role with it.

Placing my hand on his forehead I send my psionics out, now without the gems protection or the slave minds, The Amalgam's mind is vulnerable. Looking deep into his mind I try to find any trace of the man he once was, not finding anything among the debris of his mind I retreat.

Sighing I decide not to let his death be wasteless, merging my hand into the Amalgam I begin analysing his genes. Turns out without all the MGH flowing into his system he's just a weird human, sharpening my hand inside him I shred his insides.

Checking he's dead I'm not willing to take any risks and throw his body in my inventory. Releasing the space around me it returns to normal, staggering from having so much energy drained I get to my next task.

Opening a portal to Australia I step out into a alley, at the end of the alley is a pile of unconscious Meta's and a blood soaked Jean. Rushing up to Jean I see she's standing over a mutilated corpse, turning the body over I can recognise it as Charles Xavier.

Stashing his body in my inventory so no one meddles with it, I turn to Jean, Jean stands there staring blankly at where the body was for a few seconds before slowly looking at me. Making eye contact with Jean I can see tears falling from her eyes, reaching out I gently pull Jean into a hug as she breaks out into sobs hugging me back.

After a few minutes of well needed comfort Jean stops crying and releases the hug she had me in. Looking at the pile of still unconscious people Jean speaks for the first time in a while.

"What happened? What do we do with them now?" – Jean

Mentally projecting images of my fight with The Amalgam I'm able to quickly catch Jean up, then answering her other question I open a portal as the people begin to float.

"We'll head to my house for now, I don't know how to teleport to Charles's mansion." – Morgan

On the other side of the portal, I weave my way through the upturned land, even with all my reinforcements in place I wasn't able to fully stop The Amalgams attacks and they damaged the area. At my door I take a second to access the outside of my house before heading in.

Inside a few items have fallen to the floor and there is a few cracks in the floor but the house is mostly intact. Connecting to my systems I check over all my projects, in total there is minimal damage to my underground structures but one of my construction hives was completely destroyed whilst the other two need repairs.

Laying the unconscious people on my floor I continue sifting through their minds, fixing what I can the trauma Charles inflicted is so deep on some of them that I can't remove it all. It seems Charles had been using the Meta's for years as his personal hit squad.

Half an hour later I'm wishing I could bring Charles back just to kill him again, the things he's done to people are so horrid I wouldn't wish it in my worst enemies. I'm not even able to see the full scope off his crimes as I can only see them through his victims eyes.

Finishing up my repairs I remove all the programming and mental blocks in all their minds, it seems the Charles of this reality thrived on misery as he made Magneto into the racist maniac he's been for the last few years.

Originally the Magneto of this reality was the good guy that tried to help all people, but after meeting Charles his mind was twisted. Now though I've repaired his mind and restored his original personality, hopefully this helps.

As I lay all the unconscious people out across the room I see Jeans fallen asleep, lifting her gently with my psionics I float her to my room and lay her on my bed. Checking the current time it's just passed 2am.

Opening my notifications I look over my progress.

Closing all my menus I decide its time to work on some more tech, so opening my store I begin adding stuff. Starting with Masterful Quantum Computing and Masterful Organic Machinery from the horizon universe I use the two free purchases I have. Then I added the Shield weaver armour for 15,000pts and advanced space travel for 10,000pts.

Finally, I added the Far zenith shield technology for 35,000 pts and the Pulse engine from No mans sky for 50,000pts before finalised my purchases. Now reviewing all the new knowledge, I have I chose to dedicate a few weeks to properly setting up my tech, and as such headed for my elevator down to my resource depot.

-Masterful Quantum Computing (Purple)

Universe: Horizon Forbidden West

Type: Knowledge

Grade: (A+)

This skill contains highly detailed and highly advanced knowledge on the construction and use of quantum computers. This skill contains knowledge from the peak of the Old ones civilisation and the peak of the Far Zenith colonies civilisation.

-Masterful Organic Machinery (Purple)

Universe: Horizon Forbidden West

Type: Knowledge

Grade: (S-)

This skill contains highly detailed and highly advanced knowledge on the construction, development, and use of organic machinery. In the Horizon universe the hyper advanced Ai Gaia spent hundreds of years perfecting machines to restore the planet. The results of that were hyper advanced organic machines capable of mimicking all the functionality of organic life.

-Shield Weaver Armour (Blue)

Universe: Horizon Zero Dawn

Type: Knowledge

Grade: (B-)

The Shield Weaver armour was an advanced armour developed by the old ones before the outbreak of the FARO plague, the armour features a nano weave mesh, reinforced exoskeleton and finally a small hard light projector. This armour is capable of recharging itself once depleted and offers enhanced environmental protection.

-Advanced Space Travel (Blue)

Universe: No Mans Sky

Type: Knowledge

Grade: (B+)

This skill contains moderate information on the construction and makeup of intrasystem spaceships capable of repeated planet to space trips. This skill contains information on the launch thruster a pivotal ship technology in this universe.

Zenith Shield Technology (Purple)

Universe: Horizon Forbidden West

Type: Knowledge

Grade: (A+)

Improving on the hard light technology developed before the fall of the Old ones, The Far Zenith shield uses advanced hard light tech to create a nearly indestructible shield. This shield is for smaller and more efficient than anything else created during the time since the fall of the old ones.

Pulse Engine (Blue)

Universe: No Mans Sky

Type: Knowledge

Grade: (A+)

This skill contains all the technical knowledge needed to create the pulse engine; the pulse engine is a very powerful device capable of bending space to speed up a craft. Does not function in atmosphere.

Reaching the bottom of my elevator I step out, in the few hours since I was last here my construction hives continued working. Now extending out from the Burav material collection area is a series of large self-contained workshops where I can build the advanced tools needed to achieve the precision some parts need.

I had previously tried making some of the more complex quantum computers but due to the nature of my matter manipulation I knew where all the particles were. So, in order to make functional advanced quantum computers I needed to create a non-sentient machine that doesn't interfere with the particles uncertainty.

I also needed more advanced machines to create stronger and more complex alloys because I had the same issue as with quantum computers. Pulling up a chair I sit down and begin my work.
