Chapter 65: Chapter 63: Resurrection.
Feeling pain all over her body, Hero Pixie-Bob slowly opened her eyes.
The first thing she saw was the night sky.
'What happened?'
Enduring the pain she tried to raise her head.
And as soon as she did.
She noticed a large amount of people lying unconscious all around.
'Just what?....'
Before she could finish processing the situation, she noticed an anomaly.
She wasn't wearing anything.
'Why am I naked!?!'
Screaming loudly in her mind, she quickly raised her trembling arm trying her best to cover her exposed chest.
*Sniff*
Suddenly.
"....Pixie.....pixie....Bob.....Sniff...'
A familiar breaking voice entered her ears.
Turning her head she saw a familiar face.
Hero Tiger, one of her colleagues, stood some distance away, staring straight at her, with tears continuously rolling down his eyes.
Seeing him, the first thought that came to her mind was.
'...he saw everything didn't he?'
She was literally butt naked, for who knows how long.
He definitely saw everything.
Pixie-Bob felt her mind short-circuited, she wanted to say something but seeing Tiger's tears she stopped herself.
'But why?....is he crying---'
It was then.
The foggy memories in her mind suddenly became clear.
The image of a giant white monster splitting her in half passed through her mind.
'I died?.....'
Her pupils dilated.
With trembling hands, Pixie-Bob touched her waist.
It was attached.
She lowered her hands.
Her legs were also there.
Finally, gathering her courage, she lowered her head to take a look.
Her body.
Appears to be perfectly fine.
Slowly raising her head, she looked back at Hero Tiger.
"....Tiger?"
She called out his name.
"Am I alive?"
Asking for confirmation.
Seeing her lost look, Hero Tiger hurriedly noded his head.
Forgetting about the pain, he took several steps forward and reached Pixie-Bob, falling down on his knees, he opened his arms and hugged her.
Listening to his rhythmic heartbeat, tears unconsciously started flowing out of Pixie-Bob's eyes.
"How?...."
She asked in a confused voice.
She clearly remembered the moment of her death.
So how was she still alive?
Hero Toger looked down at her, then turned his gaze to the side.
Hero Pixie-Bob unconsciously followed his lead and turned her head.
Not so far away.
She saw a familiar boy, standing shirtless, in the midst of unconscious people.
She remembered his name.
"Kurokai?"
She called out softly.
But as if he heard it, Kurokai turned his head to look at her.
For a moment their gaze collided.
Then she saw Kurokai giving her a small smile.
"It seems your tail was fake after all."
Leaving behind those words he started walking away.
----
As Kurokai was walking away, Hero Best Jeanist, Miriko, Mt. Lady and Kamui Wood arrived at the scene.
After looking at the miracle in front of them in disbelief, they all instinctively turned to Kurokai, as if asking for answers.
But Kurokai ignored them and walked away, unconcerned by their questioning gazes.
After hesitating for a moment, Hero Best Jeanist withdrew his gaze from Kurokai's back, and looked at the unconscious people in front of him.
"Let's help them first."
The others nodded and quickly sprang into action.
As Kurokai was walking away absentmindedly, he met another group of people.
They were his classmates.
"Kurokai kun! What happened?"
Kurokai looked at the agitated Lida.
His usual calmness was gone, replaced by a perceivable sense of weakness.
But he wasn't the only one who changed.
Kurokai's gaze passed through other students of class 1-a.
Most of their faces showed the same expression, one of sadness.
Whether it be the explosive Bakugo, the usually calm Todoroki, or the always-motivated Kirishima.
In the face of the inhuman disaster, the goodness in their hearts made them deeply affected.
"It seems there are some survivors, go ahead and help them."
Patting Lida's shoulder, Kurokai bypassed him and started walking away, Ignoring the unusual eyes of his classmates.
Lida's eyes looked in confusion, then his gaze suddenly fell on the nearest person.
Almost instantly he moved and arrived before him, crouching down he clearly felt the man's steady breathing.
This person was alive.
Lida tightly clenched his fists, his gaze unknowingly looking around in wonder.
Alive.
They're all alive!
Hurridely standing up on his feet, he shouted towards his classmates in the loudest voice he could muster.
"Everyone! Come quickly!"
Barely controlling his face from crumbling.
"They're okay! They're all okay!!"
The students heard his words and hurriedly ran forward at their top speed.
In the process, some of them saw Kurokai, but listening to Lida's loud shouts they only glanced at him before hurrying forward.
It happened multiple times but then suddenly a green figure blocked Kurokai's path.
"Kurokai-kun?...."
Calling out his name, Asui hurriedly extended her arm towards him, trying to grab him.
But.
His next words.
"What is it? Asui-san?"
Made her stop.
As if stuck in ice.
Asui couldn't help but give his face a closer look.
And it was then that she noticed it.
Kurokai's eyes were different than usual.
Seeing the unfamiliar gaze looking at her, made her feel at a loss.
He felt....unfamiliar.
Kurokai silently gazed at her, waiting for her, but seeing that she wasn't going to say anything, he gave her a look and then walked past her.
Watching him walk away, Asui turned her head, she wanted to call out to him, but for some reason, her voice refused to come out.
Lowering her eyes, she said in a small voice.
"Kurokai?"
----
It was a sleepless night for Japan.
The terror of the red sun, the death of thousands.
But most of all.
The miracle of resurrection.
The dead.
Brought back to life.
It was crazy.
The news was traveling, far and wide at a crazy pace, it was only a matter of time before it gained fame internationally.
But of course.
That will still take time, the night was long after all.
Arriving back at the silent Ua's dorm, Kurokai entered his room and lay down on his bed, his eyes closing slowly.
He felt his mind drifting away.
But then suddenly.
*Knock*
The sudden knock on the door caught his attention.
*Knock*Knock*
His powers moved silently and the door to his room was locked.
Whoever it was, right now he had no interest in meeting them.
Ignoring the further knocks on the door, Kurokai once again closed his eyes, and his mind started to drift again.
That was until.
*Click*
He heard his window click open.
Kurokai instantly released Telekinesis, he was just about to freeze the intruder when he felt the familiar aura.
With a weird look on his face, Kurokai turned away around, and looked at the window.
There he saw Asui with one of her legs inside his room, trying to sneakily infiltrate his place.
Kurokai turned on the lights.
Their eyes met.
Asui froze in place.
Half of her body was still outside.
It was a comical scene.
He stared at her.
She stared back at him.
The silence continued.
Until a cold wind suddenly blew from the outside making Asui sneeze.
Seeing her trying to hide her nose in a panik, Kurokai went forward and gave her a hand.
"Come inside."
Grabbing his hand, Asui hurriedly entered his room and closed the window.
Looking at his female classmate who just infiltrated his room, Kurokai asked a very valid question.
"Why are you here Asui-san?"
She should be with the other students of class 1-a, helping the ones he saved.
So why was she here?
And more importantly, how did she arrive so quickly?
There was at least an hour of drive between the two places.
Hearing his words, Asui stopped, turning away from the window she looked at him and said.
"The police arrived and sent us away, saying they'll take care of the situation....."
A confused look appeared on Kurokai's face.
"Wait how long has passed since I left the place?"
"It's been three hours I think?", Asui replied, placing a finger on her cheek.
Kurokai fell silent, it seems the small shut eyes he just did was actually three hourse long.
Scratching his head he asked the real question.
"So Asui-san, why are you here?"
"Again!"
Her sudden shout made him stop.
Bitting down on her lower lip, Asui gave him a deep stare.
Kurokai was confused.
"Asui what are you--"
"You did it again!"
She suddenly raised her hands with her fists clenched.
'Is she angry?'
He wondered, looking at her slightly red face.
"Calm down Asui-san, why don't you explain it to me more clearly, yes?"
Asui fell silent, her head slowly lowered.
'Did I say something wrong?.....'
Kurokai wondered.
But then suddenly Asui raised her head back up.
Their eyes met.
They looked at each other.
Then slowly he saw Asui open her arms, spreading them towards him.
It looked...as if she was asking for a hug.
The confusion intensified.
Kurokai couldn't help but wonder if he saw it wrong.
It was a bit too sudden.
So he asked for clarification.
"Are you asking for a hug?"
Asui looked at him, then lightly nodded her head.
Kurokai looked at her, then took a step forward and slowly raised his arm, carefully wrapping it around her back.
He was making sure to maintain a specific distance from her chest, so as to not make her feel embarrassed.
And Asui also saw it.
But then without any warning she suddenly rushed in and hugged him tight, her head on his chest.
Feeling the soft sensation, pressing against him, Kurokai blinked his eyes, he clearly felt her large chest, it felt warm and soft.
Lowering his gaze, he looked down, her head was pressed against his chest,
'Was she sad?'
Kurokai lightly raised his hand to pat her head.
As soon as his hand touched her head, Asui trembled and then suddenly buried her head deeper into his chest, tightening her arms around his back.
Kurokai blinked, then slowly started patting g her head.
They stood like this for some time.
Until Kurokai stopped Patting her head and asked in a small voice.
"Can you tell me what happened?"
Shouldn't she be happy that everyone was alive?
What was the reason for her change?
A small murmur escaped Asui's mouth.
"....you didn't..."
Kurokai concentrated, trying to hear her words.
Asui raised her head and looked straight at him, their faces in close proximity.
"You didn't call me Froggo."
Her big watery eyes stared straight at him.
Kurokai couldn't help but pause for a moment, then said.
"I thought you didn't like being called Froggo?"
After all, she told him to change it multiple times, which he ever so conveniently ignored.
Asui placed her forehead against his chest and said.
"Don't hat it...."
"What?"
"I said I don't hate it!"
"Oh....."
Kurokai scratched his nose.
Then he opened his mouth and said.
"Froggo."
Asui raised her head and stared at him.
Their eyes met again.
"Are you happy now?"
"Five..."
"Yes?"
"You said it five times."
Her big eyes stared at him, leaving no room for negotiations.
A small smile formed on Kurokai's face.
He showed her his hand and raised a finger.
"Froggo."
The second finger, third finger, and fourth finger.
"Froggo, Froggo, Froggo."
"Are you happy now?"
"Mhm"
Asui nodded her head.
Looking at his familiar eyes, she opened her mouth and said.
"Hold me tighter..."
Kurokai smirked.
"You pervert, climbing into a boy's room at night and asking for hug---"
"I don't want to hear it from someone who doesn't even have his hero provisional license."
Kurokai froze.
Asui stared at him with narrowed eyes.
The corners of Kurokai's mouth twitched.
Then, he wrapped his hands around, Asui's waist and pulled her in a closer hug.
Their bodies pressed right against each other, feeling warm and soft.
Asui's face turned red.
Kurokai enjoyed her softness, her long green hair filled his vision.
