King of Worlds'

Chapter 6: KOW Chapter 6 Plunder

After discovering the nature of his power, Qin Yi felt much more at ease.

The people of his ''Kingdom'' had no understanding of the dangers of the ''Naruto world,'' but he was acutely aware of them.

Forget about the likes of ''Chūnin'' or ''Jōnin'' - even entry-level ''Genin'' who were accustomed to life-and-death battles could face off against ordinary warriors and easily defeat tens or even dozens of them.

For a civilization that had only developed up to the Cold Weapon Age, facing such a vast and powerful world was utterly hopeless.

Direct combat would only lead to a dead end.

After about four hours of rest with his eyes closed, Gandalf gently woke him.

"Your Majesty, someone is approaching."

Qin Yi had been in a light sleep and opened his eyes to see Gandalf's staff glowing faintly in the dim light.

He quickly got up, extinguished the dying embers and followed Gandalf to hide under the roots of a nearby tree.

This area was a dense forest where the massive tree roots were as high as an adult's waist, providing ample hiding space for a person.

The two of them hid under the roots, their breathing reduced to a barely audible whisper. Qin Yi looked out and waited a minute, but no one appeared.

He glanced at Gandalf, noticing in the pale moonlight that the Elder's expression was calm and his eyes sharp with focus.

"Gandalf rarely shows his power, preferring to appear as an ordinary person when dealing with others," Qin Yi thought to himself.

"Judging by appearances, this old man doesn't seem like a demigod level figure at all."

It was no wonder that Qin Yi's predecessor had never taken Gandalf seriously or given him much thought. The Elder's appearance was far too modest.

Gandalf remained motionless, watching the surroundings with remarkable composure. Qin Yi followed his lead, trusting the old man completely. He knew that Gandalf's skills were extraordinary.

Having just arrived in the ''Naruto World'', Qin Yi relied entirely on this elder.

While ''King's Strength'' theoretically allowed him to use Gandalf's powers, the significant difference in their strength made it difficult for him to even perceive Gandalf's abilities clearly, let alone use them effectively.

As far as he could tell, Gandalf was some sort of melee mage, capable of manipulating fire and lightning, summoning holy light, and even summoning giant eagle mounts.

Unless absolutely necessary, Qin Yi couldn't afford to use Gandalf's powers. Using up his ''King's Strength'' would have disastrous consequences.

This newfound power was a miracle to Qin Yi. Its versatility, though rare, seemed to depend on the peculiar force of a ''King's Fortune''. Even his rapid recovery within three days of awakening was due to this power.

However, based on his predecessor's memories, although the King's Strength was formidable, its regeneration was frustratingly slow.

Unconsciously, ten minutes passed. In the silent night, a faint shadow suddenly flickered in front of Qin Yi's eyes.

Moments later, three or four figures scurried through the thick branches of the trees.

"They're here!"

Qin Yi tensed, astonished at what he saw.

In the anime, such movements didn't feel so real. Their speed was so intense that his naked eye could barely keep up.

After another five minutes, Gandalf's staff dimmed, signaling that the danger had passed. The two emerged from beneath the tree roots.

"They have moved away. The one in front seemed to be fleeing, pursued by the four behind him. Their headbands bore different insignia, suggesting that they belonged to opposing factions."

Gandalf's voice was soft but steady.

The two quietly repositioned themselves, treading lightly on the forest floor.

"Gandalf, did you manage to see the designs on their headbands?"

Qin Yi's eyes gleamed as he asked in a hushed tone.

Gandalf paused for a moment, then crouched down and drew two symbols in the dirt.

"Konoha and Sunagakure!"

When Qin Yi saw the symbols Gandalf had drawn, he immediately recognized them.

"Your Majesty seems to have some intelligence in this matter?" Gandalf inquired, looking at Qin Yi thoughtfully.

Gandalf asked curiously, "Do you know anything about them?"

"A little," Qin Yi replied, his eyes flickering with thought. Then, with a determined tone, he raised his head and asked, "Can you take me to them?"

Gandalf was taken aback. "Your Majesty, their power structure and their training systems are far more advanced than ours. Approaching them recklessly could be dangerous. I suggest we stay hidden for now and gather some useful information."

"Gandalf, take me there. I know you can do it," Qin Yi said firmly, his determination unwavering.

He considered his abilities. If Gandalf's assessment of the five people who had just passed by was correct, then...

A sharp light flashed in his eyes. To survive in this dangerous world, he needed strength. ''King's Strength'' was his trump card, but in ordinary situations, he was just an unarmed commoner.

Seeing Qin Yi's determination, Gandalf hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Stay close to me, Your Majesty."

With that, Gandalf took the lead and the two moved quickly through the dense forest.

Qin Yi felt tense. When Gandalf's staff glowed faintly from time to time before fading again, he realized that enemies must be nearby.

After about half an hour, Gandalf stopped and whispered, "They're right up ahead.

Qin Yi looked ahead carefully. He could faintly hear angry shouts from the forest, followed by muffled explosions and the clash of blades.

Five minutes later, the sounds stopped. Qin Yi's heart raced and he instinctively wanted to move forward to investigate.

However, Gandalf pulled him back and quickly led him behind a large tree for cover.

The next moment, several blurry figures streaked through the air above them. One of them stopped briefly and looked down.

"What is it?" His companion asked.

"I thought I felt something alive, but it vanished in an instant," The person hesitated.

"Let's go. It's probably just a small animal. We need to rendezvous with the main group," His companion replied.

The human took another long look around, saw nothing, and then jumped away, disappearing quickly.

It was only after five full minutes that Gandalf pulled Qin Yi out of hiding.

"You wanted to check the condition of the one being chased, didn't you?" Gandalf said as he quickly led Qin Yi forward.

Qin Yi nodded, his fear growing as they approached.

Soon, he saw a shinobi lying on the ground. The figure was wearing a ''Konoha'' headband and appeared lifeless, his eyes closed as if he was already dead.

"He's not dead yet," Gandalf remarked.

Qin Yi slowly approached, his mind racing as two words appeared in his mind: "Plunder."

Yes, he wanted to try his ability— to see if it would work.

The life force of the ''Konoha Shinobi'' was barely perceptible, and his severe injuries left him on the verge of death.

Qin Yi raised his right hand above the Shinobi's head, memories of the plundering ability surging through his mind.

"The way of a King is to plunder. Born to be a king, one in a million. The way of the King is the way of taking."

His gaze turned cold, and he spoke in a cold voice, "Plunder!"

In an instant, a strange power materialized out of the void. It seemed to coalesce into the terrifying visage of a ferocious beast above Qin Yi's head. With a thunderous downward roar, the beast opened its mouth and swallowed the ''Konoha Shinobi'' whole.

Qin Yi trembled as an eerie feeling ran through him.

Three seconds passed before his expression subtly changed.
