On the rooftop of a building near the New York police station, Mike stood high, looking down at the distant police headquarters.

Is Raven really inside?

He needed to confirm. If he was misled, it would be too late to act once the trap was sprung.

After a moment of contemplation, a card appeared in his hand.

*Name:* Eagle's Soar

*Skill Description:* Release a hawk spirit toward the target location. The hawk spirit provides visual coverage of the path it flies over, with a vision retention time of 5 seconds.

*Note:* Eh, that gave me a scare.

The card vanished, and a ghostly, light-blue hawk appeared on Mike's arm.

Instantly, Mike felt a strange connection with the hawk spirit.

With a thought, the hawk spirit soared from his arm and darted quickly toward the target.

As a spiritual entity, the hawk spirit could not be detected by anyone unless they possessed special abilities, except for Mike himself.

The hawk spirit flew ahead, and images of its path began to appear in Mike's mind.

As a ghost-like entity, the hawk spirit's perspective was unique—rather than traditional sight, it resembled a type of mental scan. In other words, even buildings couldn't block the hawk spirit's "vision."

When it reached its destination, the hawk spirit exploded, releasing a surge of special energy that spread in all directions, giving Mike the final piece of his vision.

Then, he "saw" Raven, surrounded by several individuals.

Those individuals didn't appear to be police officers, as their presence and demeanor were completely different from those of the officers.

Could they be mutants who captured Raven, intending to target Hellfire?

Mike wondered, and the vision faded away.

"Hm?"

One of the women seemed to sense something, looking around cautiously.

"What's wrong, Mei Lando?"

Erwin, with fiery red hair, looked at the woman curiously. "Any enemies?"

"No, it was… maybe just my imagination?"

The woman mumbled to herself, using her mental power to scan the surroundings. Finding nothing unusual, she said, "Nothing's wrong."

Erwin nodded. "Stay alert. At a time like this, the enemy could appear at any moment."

"I know," she replied.

---

"Raven's inside."

Mike muttered to himself as he leaned against the railing on the rooftop.

As bait, Raven would remain trapped until Hellfire either bit the hook or decided to abandon her.

Now, Mike's task was to wait.

He opened the black suitcase in his hands and began assembling a firearm, piece by piece. After putting it together, he disassembled it and started over, repeating the process.

He needed to get into the right mindset and prepare for action at any moment.

At the same time, a few figures watched the police station from afar.

They were members of Hellfire.

Emma, Scott, and three mutants who had come with them.

Although Black Emperor had strictly forbidden them from rescuing Raven, they had come anyway.

Raven was someone they could never abandon.

Emma stared at the police station in the distance, her beautiful eyes emanating a subtle mental power. She infiltrated the mind of a sheriff and began searching for information on Raven.

She found it.

After reading the information, she withdrew her powers, nodded to the others, and said, "Raven is inside."

Scott hesitated for a moment before asking, "Can you figure out the trap they've set?"

They all knew this was a trap, but if they could understand how it was laid, it would be much easier to proceed.

Emma shook her head. "All he knows is that the mutant who was captured is being held separately. He doesn't know about the trap. He only knows that tonight, the mutant will be transferred."

"Transferred to where?"

"He doesn't know. It's all under the police chief's orders."

Upon hearing this, Scott nodded, then pondered for a moment before speaking. "Emma, see if you can gather any key information from others. Also, we need to make new plans."

As night fell, the cold wind picked up. The crescent moon, sensing the chill, quickly hid behind a thick cloud.

Yet, despite the lack of moonlight, the streets remained brightly lit, as if it were still daytime.

As time passed, the police officers gradually finished their shifts. Although many were still on duty, the numbers had decreased by 99% compared to during the day.

Mike quietly observed the scene through binoculars from a distance. He was prepared.

Whoosh...

A gust of cold wind blew, thickening the clouds further.

Minutes later, Mike suddenly felt a cold sensation on his face.

Is it snowing?

Mike looked up, exhaling gently. A cloud of white mist swirled in front of his eyes before vanishing.

Then, Mike's gaze sharpened as he spotted two police cars and a prisoner transport vehicle entering his line of sight.

"Raven…"

Mike keenly noticed a flash of blue from inside the prisoner transport vehicle.

"Let's wait and see."

Mike murmured to himself, standing still like a statue, his eyes locked on the moving vehicles.

He had chosen his position well—he could see several streets ahead.

Those people…

Mike observed the drivers.

As expected, they were the same people he had seen earlier through his hawk spirit during the day—mutants, just as he suspected.

The three vehicles sped away, and as they were about to vanish from his sight, Mike took out a teleportation card, disappearing from his spot and reappearing on another building several streets away.

With his current ability to materialize, he could use short-range teleportation cards numerous times in one night, so there was no need to conserve them. Tracking the vehicles this way was perfect.

Regular police officers posed limited threats, but in large numbers, they could still become quite a headache. Mike wouldn't make a move until the prisoner transport vehicle left the area.

It seemed that the Hellfire mutants were likely planning the same thing.

The vehicles drove further and further, and after more than an hour, when the transport vehicle had moved far from the police station and reached a more isolated area, Hellfire made its move.

Mike's eyes lit up as he silently waited to see how things would unfold.

In the dim light, a tall figure stood in the middle of the road. He took a deep breath, slowly exhaled, and white mist billowed from his mouth and nose like a cloud, blowing away the snowflakes in front of him.

"Ha!"

The figure grinned, lowered his head, and charged forward like a rampaging beast, heading straight for the lead police car.

"Boom!"

A loud explosion rang out as a dent appeared in the front of the lead police car. The vehicle spun out of control and crashed into the guardrails on the side of the road.

"Boom!"

With another explosive sound, the prisoner transport vehicle and the following police car slammed on their brakes, coming to a stop.

Hearing the commotion, Raven glanced out the window of the transport vehicle, her expression changing.

It's Rick!

What are they doing here?

Raven's mood became complicated, her eyes flashing with uncertainty.

"How does it feel? Touched?"

Erwin, sitting across from Raven, spoke coolly, a slight smirk curling on his lips as she glanced at him. "So, how many people do you think they brought? And how many of them will become Lord's collectibles?"

Raven ignored him, instead focusing on the mutants outside.

Crash!

With a sound of metal tearing, a car that had crashed into the roadside was effortlessly ripped open by a pair of blade-like arms. A man with arms like knives, accompanied by a man and a woman, appeared before everyone.
