Naruto: Destroy the Sarutobi Clan At the Beginning

Chapter 128: Chapter 130

Gaara, hearing Temari's suggestion, licked his lips with a twisted grin. "Fine, let him live a little longer," he murmured, a sick smile stretching across his face.

Observing this, Kirito shrugged. "Chūnibyou at its finest," he muttered to himself, clearly unimpressed.

Kirito wasn't interested in a confrontation with Gaara. His goal was to leave an impression without drawing unnecessary attention—planting the seeds of his influence and setting the stage for future encounters.

As Moonlight Gekkō approached to announce the first match, he coughed lightly and directed the rest of the participants to move to the viewing platform near the wall.

The Genin gathered there, separating into their respective groups.

Class 7

Kakashi greeted his students with his usual nonchalant tone. "You've all worked hard—especially you, Sakura. Looks like you had a rough time."

Sakura glared at him, her face still swollen and bandaged from the beatings she endured. "Teacher Kakashi, that's not funny!"

Suppressing a chuckle, Kakashi added, "Alright, sorry. But this is a lesson: you need to become stronger. Right now, Naruto and Sasuke are far ahead of you."

Turning to Sasuke, who was visibly struggling with the curse mark's effects, Kakashi's expression grew serious. "How are you feeling, Sasuke?"

"I'm fine," Sasuke replied through gritted teeth, clearly in pain.

Kakashi frowned but didn't press further. "Do your best, but if you use the Sharingan during the matches, I'll stop you myself."

Sasuke clenched his fists, frustration evident in his gaze. He knew the risks of using chakra with the curse mark, but he refused to back down. He had to test his limits—both to measure his growth and to prove to himself that his efforts weren't in vain.

Class 8

"Teacher Kurenai, do you know the bandaged man?" Kiba asked, glancing at Kirito from the viewing platform.

Kurenai's expression froze for a moment. "Why do you ask?"

"My bugs and Akamaru picked up a scent on him that's similar to yours," Shino explained calmly.

A flicker of panic crossed Kurenai's eyes, but she quickly masked it. "You're overthinking things. I don't know him personally. Maybe the scent transferred from that day when I stopped a conflict between Rain Ninja during the exam."

Shino and Kiba exchanged doubtful glances but didn't press further.

Hinata, on the other hand, was lost in thought. Could the bandaged man really be the same person she had been thinking of?

Class 10

"Teacher Asuma, do you think Ino has a chance?" Choji asked, watching as Ino prepared for her match against Kirito.

Asuma, now putting away a compact mirror after applying a touch of makeup, looked over at Shikamaru, who answered before he could.

"Not a chance," Shikamaru said bluntly.

Asuma raised an eyebrow. "You've seen him fight?"

Shikamaru nodded, recounting their brief encounter with Kirito during the second exam.

"That explains a lot," Asuma muttered, his tone carrying a hint of unease.

Class 9

"Neji, are you sure about what you saw?" Guy asked, his usual enthusiasm tempered by concern.

"Yes, Sensei. His chakra is far beyond what a Genin should have. It's not natural," Neji replied, his voice steady.

"Could Orochimaru be disguising himself again?" Guy wondered aloud, stroking his chin. "I'll consult Kakashi about this."

However, before he could act on his thoughts, Moonlight Gekkō's voice echoed through the arena.

"The first match begins now!"

In the center of the arena, Kirito stood calmly, exuding an air of quiet confidence. Opposite him, Ino looked visibly nervous, her hands trembling slightly as she raised them to form seals.

From the viewing platform, Sakura shouted, "Ino, don't give up!"

Angered by the taunt, Ino's fighting spirit ignited. "Bald Sakura, watch me!" she retorted.

Realizing she couldn't win in direct combat, Ino quickly formed the hand seals for her Mind Transfer Jutsu. Her spirit successfully entered Kirito's body, and her physical body slumped to the ground.

But as Ino began to control Kirito's body, she was immediately overwhelmed by the vast, incomprehensible amount of chakra within him. Panic set in as she realized she couldn't escape.

"Don't worry, little girl. I won't hurt you," Kirito's voice echoed within her mind—calm and reassuring yet unyielding.

Back in the real world, Kirito raised his hand and seemingly pulled a sword from thin air. A simple yet elegant blade—Kyōka Suigetsu—appeared in his grasp.

From the viewing platform, Asuma's face paled as his eyes locked onto the familiar weapon. His hands trembled slightly, and his voice was barely above a whisper. "That sword…"

Kakashi's single visible eye widened in recognition. "It's him…"

Both men were suddenly transported back to memories of the Uchiha massacre and the destruction of the Sarutobi clan.

Asuma clenched his fists, his expression contorted with a mix of anger and fear. "He's back."
