Naruto Kitsune

"Now for the graduation exam, you will have to use clone jutsu. When you are called come to the next room."

Iruka said to the whole class.

"If you manage to perform it you will be given one of these." He said as he pointed to his forehead protector.

"They are the symbol of your allegiance to your village. Every ninja from every ninja village wears one. Even the one from the villages outside of the five great shinobi villages."

"You can wear it wherever you want as long as it's visible. Anyone that does not wear the forehead protector is not considered as a ninja."

I exaggerated a bit but I am sure that they got my message. Iruka thought in his mind.

"Now. We will go by the ranks that each students achieve in the written test. First is Uchiha Sasuke."

Sasuke got up and followed Iruka.

"No, surprise."

"Kiyaaa. Sasuke Kun is the first one of us to become a Ninja."

Most of the boys were unhappy while most girls cheered.

They already knew that he was going to pass.

"Clone Jutsu," Sasuke said as he created illusions of four clones that stood beside him.

"How is that? Is it good enough to pass?"

Iruka nodded.

"Amazing Sasuke. You only need to make three clones but you are already able to make four clones with just three hand signs."

He praised as he handed a Konoha forehead protector to Sasuke.

"You passed. Congratulations on being a genin."

"Thank you."

"You know about the ceremony. Right?" Iruka asked him.

Sasuke nodded.

Sasuke then leaves the room.

Normally one would go back to class to show off his achievements to their friends but Sasuke has no such plan.

To him, this is a means to the end.

He showed off a little at the final examination.

However, that is only because he wanted to get the highest score if they decided to give them out, despite knowing that the academy didn't give out scores for the final test.

And showing that he can perform better than other kids is the best way to get that outcome.

"Now show me your clone jutsu."

Iruka said to Shiro.

Shiro was the second in class after Sasuke so he was able to take his test as soon as he finished.

"Clone Jutsu."

Shiro created three clones.

"Pass. Here is your forehead protector." Iruka handed the forehead protector to Shiro.

Shiro put it around his forehead.

"Now I am finally a Genin."

"You are not a genin until the graduation exam." Iruka corrected him.

"So what am I?"

"A shinobi of the leaf village."

Shiro smiled as he turned back.

I heard that Hayate is on a mission in the Sand village. I guess I should tell this to him after he got back. He thought in his mind as he walked out of the room.

"Hey. Remember to come to class next month for the graduation ceremony. You will also have to take a picture for your ninja Identification card so dress appropriately. It's on 22nd."

Iruka yelled to Shiro to notify him.

Iruka then continued to take records of every student in the class until it reached the person with the lowest score in the class.

"Naruto," Iruka said as he looked at the boy.

"Please take this seriously."

"Hehe. Don't worry Iruka sensei. I am going to nail this exam and finally become a Genin. Then the Hokage after Surpassing the old man." He replied while smiling.

"What about the ranks that are between the two?" Iruka asked.

"There are ranks between the two?" Naruto was shocked.

"Just hurry up. You are the last person here."

"Then Here I go. Clone Jutsu."

Smokes started to appear around Naruto and concealed his present for a while.

Then a few seconds later it cleared.

Naruto was standing by himself.

"... Naruto. Where is the clone?" Iruka asked him.

"Ah. I messed up." He said while smiling.

"Can I get another try?" He asked Iruka.

"Fine." Iruka agreed.

Narito tried it again but this also failed.

Naruto gives a wide smile showing him one of his fingers.

"You get one more try," Iruka said to Naruto.

"Haaaa. Clone Jutsu." Naruto decided to try it again but this time a clone appeared.

But there was a problem. The clone was useless as it had noticeably different features from Naruto.

Mainly it's two left hands, a shorter body structure and cross eyes.

It also seems like it is unable to move.

"Naruto. You failed." Iruka said as he got up.

"Iruka sensei. Please. Let me have one more try." Naruto begged him.

"Naruto. I have already given you three tries. And you failed every one of them. You have to take this test later again. If I continued to give you a retry it would be unfair to other kids who also failed." Iruka explained it to Naruto.

Then he left the room leaving Naruto alone.

"Congratulations," Yugao said to Shiro when she saw him on his way back home.

"Thank you," Shiro replied.

"Then if you don't have anything to say I will be going." He replied.

"Keep on improving. If you managed to prove yourself I would be able to recommend you to the Anbu." She said to him.

She knows Shiro as a boy as he was her lover's student so she sees him as her own brother.

Especially since she is usually busy with her duties and does not have many friends outside of her comrades.

"Oh. I want to ask you something. Why does Hayate even go to the sand village? And when would he be back." Shiro asked.

"Normally I won't be able to tell you about classified mission details but this one is not classified so I guess I can tell you why." She said to herself.

"He went there to notify them about the Chunin exam that will be held in our Village." She said.

"It's going to start near the end of this year. There are still many months left but things like this have to be preplanned and notified very early." She explained.

"He would probably be back around next week so you can tell him the good news then." She said as she walked away while waving to Shiro.
