Naruto: You Call This A Medical Ninja?

Chapter 564: Chapter 564: Kaguya’s Doubts and Prime Minister Sanada’s Goal

Suddenly, Otsutsuki Kaguya straightened up, her expression shifting to one of confusion and unease.

"This power… it's the same power that sealed me before," she muttered, her voice tinged with disbelief. "But how could it…"

The memory flooded back. When her sons, Otsutsuki Hamura and Otsutsuki Hagoromo, had sealed her, the Yin-Yang Release embedded in their technique carried this very same energy. Yet now, inexplicably, it appeared in the Uchiha clan's Sharingan.

The Enigma of the Sharingan

Kaguya's gaze sharpened as she assessed the situation.

"Obito's eyes were not awakened through conventional means. That must be why his Sharingan lacks this peculiar energy," she mused. "But the rest of the Uchiha clan... this power exists in their eyes."

Reiki nodded and added, "This energy isn't limited to the Sharingan. I've also sensed it within the Byakugan of the Hyuga clan and even in the chakra of the tailed beasts."

He detailed his observations, connecting the dots between the disparate clues he had encountered. The Uchiha clan's Sharingan, the Hyuga clan's Byakugan, and the tailed beasts all carried traces of this mysterious power.

After listening intently, Kaguya fell silent, her thoughts spiraling. Despite combing through the depths of her memory, she could not pinpoint the source or purpose of this energy.

"I don't know," she admitted at last. "I recognize the power, but its presence in these forms is beyond my understanding."

Reiki sighed. "Fair enough. Let's move forward. If you recall anything, don't hesitate to reach out." With a smile, he left, accompanied by Shisui and Obito.

A Conversation with the Chef

As the trio departed, Teuchi, the ramen chef, approached Kaguya, his demeanor casual yet knowing.

"You really don't know what this is about?" he asked, squinting playfully.

Kaguya shook her head. "When Hagoromo and Hamura matured, I had already been sealed. Whatever happened afterward was their doing. If anyone knew, it would have been them… but they're long gone."

"Figures," Teuchi replied, washing the empty bowls. "If that's the case, that little guy Reiki is going to have a tough time unraveling this mystery. Still, he's resourceful. I'm sure he'll manage."

The conversation shifted.

"Have you contacted Takamagahara?" Teuchi asked, referencing the mysterious realm tied to the Otsutsuki clan's greater network.

"Yes," Kaguya replied. "It will take five years before anyone arrives."

"Five years, huh?" Teuchi mused. "By then, those kids—Reiki, Shisui, and the rest—will be sixteen or seventeen. Perfect timing. They'll be at their peak, ready to confront whatever comes their way."

Preparing for the Future

Over the following days, Reiki continued his efforts to strengthen Konoha's shinobi. Those unable to join the special training camp were provided with potions and resources to support their growth. Even so, Reiki knew that some challenges couldn't be overcome with training alone.

One evening, Reiki lay in his room, reflecting on the day's work. At just 11 years old, he had matured beyond his years, already shouldering responsibilities that even adults would struggle with. With Nawaki away, Reiki had the room to himself.

A familiar chakra presence snapped him from his thoughts.

"Failed?" Reiki asked indifferently, sensing Black Zetsu entering the room.

"Yeah, failed," Black Zetsu admitted, though his tone carried a hint of amusement. "But Sanada isn't just fine—he's thriving. He's become a prominent figure in the Land of Fire! Tell me… did you already know this would happen?"

Reiki smirked. "Pretty much. From the start, Prime Minister Sanada never intended to seize the throne. His goal was to secure official support from the Fire Nation."

Prime Minister Sanada's Strategy

Reiki explained, "The daimyos of the Fire Nation were aware of the corruption festering in their ranks, but they lacked a means to address it effectively. Prime Minister Sanada offered them a solution. He baited the powerful clans and dignitaries, exploiting their ambitions, and when the time was right, he orchestrated a rebellion to eliminate them."

Black Zetsu's expression darkened. "So it was all staged?"

"Exactly," Reiki confirmed. "The daimyos and Sanada coordinated their actions. The rebellion was a smokescreen, a means to clean house. Now Sanada holds the support of the Fire Nation's leadership while purging its corrupt elements."

Black Zetsu sighed. "And you knew this the whole time?"

"Of course," Reiki replied casually. "Why bother interfering when the outcome benefits everyone?"

Training and Growth

Black Zetsu shifted the conversation. "What's your next move? You can't keep doing things this way forever."

Reiki leaned back, a confident smirk on his face. "This method works for now. As for their upper limits… I'll deal with that when the time comes. With me here, there are no limits."

Black Zetsu frowned. "Even with potions and training, the progress will plateau. Take Shisui and Terumi Mei, for example—they've already transitioned to instructors. The more people you train, the harder it is to maintain growth."

Reiki remained undeterred. "Their limits aren't permanent. I'll ensure their growth continues, one way or another. For now, we focus on the present."

As the training intensified and plans continued to unfold, Reiki's confidence and determination were unwavering. While challenges loomed on the horizon, one thing was certain—he would lead the ninja world into the future, no matter the cost.
