Chapter 168: Acquaintance
Crash!
A massive figure emerged from the sea, clawing its way onto the shore.
"Ahem!"
Kaido clutched his chest, coughing up a mouthful of blood.
"That hurts!" he muttered, grinning as he glanced at the red, bruised spot on his chest.
Kaido had been slapped into the sea by Sengoku and drifted with the current for seven or eight days before regaining some of his strength.
"Where is this place?"
Kaido looked up at the island before him, noticing the massive skull at its center. It resembled a colossal head with enormous horns.
Staring at the island, Kaido felt a strange sense of destiny, as if this island was meant to be his.
He climbed onto the shore, scanning his surroundings. Signs of habitation were evident, but no one seemed to be present.
"Where are King and Queen? I hope they're okay," Kaido muttered, concern flashing across his face for his two newly accepted followers.
"No, I need to find them!"
Kaido transformed into his massive azure dragon form and took to the skies, flying in a random direction.
---
Suddenly, Kaido sensed movement below. He lowered his dragon head, spotting a ship sailing through the sea.
"Hmm? A ship? And there are two familiar people aboard?"
Kaido's eyes glinted with recognition as he quickly descended toward the vessel.
---
On the sea, a ship drifted through the ocean.
"Damn Kozuki Sukiyaki! He declared us traitors and made it impossible for us to return home," grumbled a middle-aged man holding a fishing rod.
Next to him, an elderly woman lay on a chair, applying lipstick with a small mirror.
These two were Kurozumi Murasaki and Kurozumi Muramaru, siblings who had betrayed Rocks two years ago.
After obtaining the Mythical Zoan Snake-Snake Fruit, Model: Yamata-no-Orochi, from Rocks, they had rushed back to Wano Country, hoping to elevate their clan's status.
However, their ambitions were crushed by Kozuki Sukiyaki, who saw through their schemes. They barely escaped with their lives.
"Brother, our mission now is to find allies. If the Kozuki clan refuses to cooperate, we'll bring in outside help. There are plenty of strong people on the sea. We'll reclaim what's ours!" Kurozumi Murasaki said confidently.
"You're right, sister! But who should we approach? Most strong individuals are dangerous. What if they betray us?" Kurozumi Muramaru asked nervously.
"We'll be careful. Charlotte Linlin and Charlotte seem like good options. Both are powerful and relatively trustworthy," Murasaki analyzed.
Hearing Charlotte's name, Muramaru shivered, recalling a past encounter that nearly cost him his life. If Rocks hadn't intervened, he wouldn't have survived.
Seeing her brother's fear, Murasaki sighed. "Fine. Let's approach Charlotte Linlin first. We'll tell her about Wano's delicious desserts and offer them as tribute in exchange for her help. She won't refuse."
Murasaki's understanding of the Rocks Pirates' members made her confident in her plan.

As the siblings discussed their next move, a dark shadow suddenly loomed over their ship.
"Huh? What's going on?"
They looked up, their eyes widening in disbelief.
"A dragon?!"
Kaido's massive azure form hovered above the ship, his presence overwhelming.
The dragon descended rapidly, shrinking mid-air until Kaido landed on the deck in his human form with a loud thud.
The ship tilted violently, forcing the Kurozumi siblings to cling to the mast to avoid falling into the sea.
"Kaido?" Kurozumi Murasaki gasped, recognizing the figure.
"Long time no see, Kurozumi Murasaki and Kurozumi Muramaru!" Kaido said with a toothy grin.
"What are you doing here?" Murasaki asked, her confusion evident.
Kaido scratched his head. "I fought Sengoku, lost, and ended up drifting to this sea! Wooo-wuuuu!" Kaido suddenly burst into tears, his massive frame shaking as he sobbed.
The siblings were stunned.
"What… what's going on? When did Kaido start crying like this?" Muramaru whispered.
"Do you have any wine?" Kaido suddenly stopped crying and looked at them expectantly.
Caught off guard, Murasaki and Muramaru hesitated.
"No? Then you're useless!" Kaido growled, his body rapidly expanding, scales covering his skin as his tail emerged.
"Wait! We have wine!" Muramaru shouted in panic, quickly pulling a small bottle from his waist and handing it to Kaido.
Kaido snatched the bottle and reverted to his human form. The small bottle looked ridiculous in his massive hands.
Seeing her brother's quick thinking, Murasaki signaled him with a glance. Muramaru hurried into the cabin and began bringing out barrels of wine.
Kaido's eyes lit up. "Now that's more like it!"
He sat cross-legged on the deck, grabbing a barrel and guzzling its contents.
As the siblings watched Kaido drink, they exchanged a look of relief.
"Brother, this might be our chance. If we can convince Kaido to help us, we won't need to rely on anyone else," Murasaki whispered.
Muramaru nodded. "You're right. Let's see how things play out."
Kaido, oblivious to their scheming, continued drinking, his spirits visibly lifting.
The once-tense atmosphere on the ship began to ease, though the Kurozumi siblings remained cautious, knowing Kaido's unpredictable nature.
