Chapter 86: Chapter 86: A Family Reunion in Foosha Village
Dragon and William emerged in the quiet streets of Shimotsuki Village. Dragon turned to William and said. "Follow me. We need to head to Foosha Village, a small port village on Dawn Island, part of the Goa Kingdom. It's my hometown, and the place where I left my son. Let's just hope my old man isn't there."
William smirked. "Alright, lead the way."
Dragon manipulated the air around him, lifting off gracefully, while William spread his dragon wings and followed. The two soared through the skies.
After some time, they landed in the peaceful Foosha Village. Dragon pulled a green cloak over his head, hiding his face, while William donned a pair of sunglasses. Dragon led him to a cozy establishment with a wooden sign that read 'Partys Bar.'
It was the afternoon, and the bar was empty except for the bartender and an older man sitting at the counter. The bartender, a young woman with a warm smile, greeted them. "Welcome, guests! What can I get you?"
Dragon's lips curled into a nostalgic smile. "Nothing, little Makino. Look at you, all grown up and a beautiful woman now."
Makino tilted her head curiously. "Do I know you?"
Dragon pulled back his hood. "You probably don't remember me. You were just a kid when I left."
Before Makino could respond, the older man, Woop Slap, slammed his glass down and approached. "You little punk! Why are you here? I haven't seen you in years."
Dragon chuckled. "It's been a long time, Uncle Woop Slap. You look as healthy as ever. How's the village?"
"The village is fine." Woop Slap grumbled. "With your father keeping watch, no pirate dares cause trouble here. But if the World Government finds out you're here, we'll all be in trouble."
"Don't worry too much." Dragon assured him. "I'm only here for my son. I'll leave as soon as I get him."
Woop Slap scowled. "What do you want with that kid? You haven't asked about him since he was a baby. And let me tell you, he's trouble! Always talking about being a pirate!"
Dragon sighed. "I want to take Luffy with me. He needs to go to school, make friends, and be under my care."
Woop Slap scoffed. "Garp's not going to like that. He wants Luffy to become a Marine. And just so you know, your old man is here on the island."
Dragon froze. "Damn it. Is he with Luffy? Maybe I can avoid him and take Luffy without crossing paths."
Woop Slap chuckled. "Unfortunately for you, Garp's with Luffy in the mountains, staying with Dadan."
Dragon groaned, rubbing his temples. He looked at William. "Now that you've seen the island, you can open your portal here anytime. Let's leave and come back another day."
William laughed heartily. "The world's most wanted criminal, second only to me, still scared of his dad? Is old man Garp really that bad?"
Dragon sighed. "He's not a bad father, but his training methods were... Let's just say, 'extreme.' And don't get me started on his 'fist of love.'"
William's curiosity piqued. "What's that?"
Dragon shuddered. "He coats his fist with Haki and smacks me on the head. He did it almost every day when I was a kid. I'd rather not relive those memories."
Woop Slap eyed William suspiciously. "And who might you be?"
William took off his sunglasses and said with a grin. "Kael D. William. Nice to meet you both."
Woop Slap and Makino gasped in unison.
Woop Slap jabbed a finger at Dragon. "As if you weren't bad enough! Now you're hanging out with him? You know he's the most wanted man in the world, right?"
William laughed as he put his glasses back on. Dragon said calmly, "I know exactly who he is, Uncle. Don't worry, we're not here to cause trouble."
After bidding farewell to Woop Slap and Makino, Dragon led William into the mountains, following the unmistakable presence of Garp's Haki.
They arrived at Dadan's hideout to find Garp standing outside with Ace and Luffy. The old man crossed his arms, his eyes narrowing as he noticed Dragon and William approaching.
Dragon approached cautiously, nodding. "Father."
In a blur, Garp used Soru to appear in front of Dragon and slammed his fist down on his head. Dragon yelped, squatting down to clutch his head.
"You little punk!" Garp roared. "Is that how you greet your father after eight years? The last time I saw you was when you handed Luffy over to me!"
Dragon muttered. "Every time we meet, you hit me. Maybe that's why I don't visit you."
"Don't give me that!" Garp grinned wickedly and delivered another blow to Dragon's head. "That's my way of showing love!"
William laughed as he watched the father and son bicker. Stepping forward, he grinned. "Good to see you again, old man."
Garp turned, casually picking his nose. "Kid, what are you doing here? And why are you with my son?"
William grinned. "We're partners."
Garp snorted. "Partners, huh? Sengoku and the World Government won't like that. Did you join the Revolutionary Army?"
William shook his head. "No. Dragon and his army joined my kingdom."
Garp's eyes widened for a moment before he nodded. "I see. And where is your kingdom?"
William smirked. "I can't tell you that, old man. You'd just tell Sengoku and he will tell the World Government. My kingdom isn't ready for an all-out war yet."
Garp crossed his arms and huffed. "Alright. By the way, I heard about what you did on Foolshout Island from Sengoku. He was pissed and wanted to end my vacation."
William laughed. "Yeah, the World Government didn't let that incident be reported in the newspapers, did they?"
Garp shook his head with a wry grin. "Nope. They had to save face as usual. What happened to Fisher Tiger?"
William's grin grew wider. "He's fine. In fact, he's one of my partners now."
Garp let out a deep sigh. "The Marines can't win against you anymore, especially since my stupid son has joined you."
William laughed heartily, pride shining in his eyes. "Yes, and give me a few years, old man. I'll take those pigs down from their throne."
