Chapter 105
Chapter 105: Damn, Three Simps!
After seeing off the imposing butler, Gu Anran looked down at the invitation in her hand with a blank expression.
Why… why do they all keep sending me invitations? How many is it now?
She quickly pulled out the other invitations she had received and began counting on her fingers.
“One… two… three… four. Four invitations! Is it four?” To make sure, she counted again, nodding proudly once she was satisfied. “Yep, four! No mistake!”
Pouting slightly, she muttered to herself, “Zhao Haoran, Yang Ling, Xu Taichu… and that other guy. They all want to go with me to the Divine Revelation Auction tomorrow!”
“But I’m just one person—how am I supposed to split myself into four?”
Besides, what even is this Divine Revelation Auction? Gu Anran felt her mind go blank, no closer to figuring it out no matter how hard she tried.
She sighed, giving up entirely. Thinking had never been her strong suit. Since childhood, Gu Anran had been known as the embodiment of clumsiness and foolishness.
She couldn’t memorize notes, often fumbled her skills, and even showed up at the wrong place for her awakening ceremony!
Still, her luck was remarkable. Despite consistently being at the bottom of her school rankings, she somehow awakened as an SSS-grade Blessed Priest!
Her original plan had been to enroll in the Imperial Academy, but she had mistakenly ended up at Azure Sun Academy instead. Heaven knows how she managed that.
Unable to make sense of it all, Gu Anran dismissed the thoughts. “Oh well, I’ll figure it out tomorrow. Worst case, I’ll just take them all!”
With that, she happily stashed the invitations and skipped back to her dorm to sleep soundly.
—
The next day arrived quickly. Outside the girls’ dormitory, a crowd had gathered once again.
After all, it was hard not to draw attention when three incredibly handsome young men stood waiting.
Those three men were none other than Zhao Haoran, the heir of Azure Sun Academy’s headmaster; Yang Ling, the young master of the Future Guild; and Xu Taichu, president of True Dragon Academy’s student council.
Each of them alone was enough to cause a commotion. Together, they were an absolute spectacle.
All three of them were waiting for Gu Anran, and all three were glaring at one another. It was clear they understood that they were rivals, each in love with the same girl.
Even they found it puzzling. With their status and charm, what woman could they not have? Yet from the moment they laid eyes on Gu Anran, with her innocent, slightly dazed demeanor, they had fallen deeply in love.
Love doesn’t need a reason, does it?
Finally, Gu Anran appeared. The sight of the adorable, slightly confused girl made all three of their hearts melt.
“Anran!”
“Anran, I’m here to pick you up!”
They all spoke in unison, then turned to glare at one another again.
“What right do you have to call her Anran?”
Yang Ling smiled faintly. “Anran, I’ve prepared several cars at the school gate. Choose whichever one you like—they’re all yours!”
As the young master of the Future Guild, Yang Ling’s wealth was unparalleled, with even the empire’s wealthiest struggling to compare.
Zhao Haoran and Xu Taichu scoffed. Although both had prestigious family backgrounds, they couldn’t match Yang Ling’s financial prowess.
Before the argument could escalate, Gu Anran intervened, feeling overwhelmed. “Stop arguing! Let’s all go together!”
“All together?”
The three of them were visibly displeased. Naturally, each wanted Gu Anran to themselves, with the other two banished to the ends of the earth.
But seeing the frown on her face, they immediately nodded.
“Fine!”
After all, none of them could bear to upset Gu Anran. If she wanted all of them to go together, so be it.
“Let’s take a taxi then,” she suggested with a cheerful smile.
“Of course, anything you want!” Zhao Haoran replied warmly.
And so, the four of them—three men and one woman—headed toward the school gate together.
The crowd watching this scene was utterly dumbfounded.
“Is this for real?”
They had been expecting a dramatic showdown—a battle royale among the three male gods. Yet, to their disbelief, the three rivals had simply agreed to go together, walking off in harmony.
“Are these guys seriously okay with sharing a girl?”
“So chill?”
“Damn, what a bunch of simps!” one boy muttered under his breath, unable to hold back his disdain.
But after quickly glancing around to make sure no one heard him, he sighed in relief. He didn’t dare offend any of the three young men.
—
Elsewhere in the imperial capital, at the Zhou family estate, Zhou Nan boarded a car bound for the auction.
Although he was merely an illegitimate child with a precarious position in the family, Zhou Nan had officially been recognized as the son of the family head, Zhou Xingkong.
This granted him a place in the family and, more importantly, an invitation to the Divine Revelation Auction.
Seeing him preparing to leave, his sister Zhou Zhiqing scoffed in disdain, her eyes flashing with contempt. She detested Zhou Nan, her illegitimate older brother. To her, he was nothing but a source of embarrassment—a poorly bred stain on the family name.
Zhou Nan, however, paid no mind to her hostility. Once in the car, he instructed the driver to set off for the auction house.
“Today’s the day!” he thought, his face alight with excitement.
“Today, I’ll copy Qin Xian’s gifted skills. And if there are other geniuses present, I’ll copy them too!”
Zhou Nan had been waiting for this moment. Once he succeeded in copying the talents he sought, he planned to leave the capital and focus on leveling up.
With his array of high-tier skills, he was effectively a jack-of-all-trades war god. Once he reached a higher level, he would be unstoppable.
Chuckling to himself, Zhou Nan imagined the day he would return as a king. When Qin Xian realized Zhou Nan had acquired the skills of an Oracle Knight, what sort of expression would he have?
