Simultaneously, Sato used the system's detection ability to re-scan his Pokémon.

To his surprise, the Pokémon with the highest IV rating was Bellossom, who boasted a golden rating with an individual value total of 176.

Sato was astonished by Bellossom's exceptional stats. In his view, apart from its unparalleled talent in mastering Grass-type energy, Bellossom didn't stand out in other aspects.

However, it now seemed Bellossom might possess undiscovered talents. A Pokémon with golden IV rating is incredibly rare, so Sato was determined to make Bellossom one of the core members of his future team.

The next Pokémon with the highest rating was Marshtomp, with an individual value total of 172—just three points shy of the golden rating threshold of 175.

Without question, upon realizing Marshtomp's outstanding potential, Sato immediately decided to include it in his ace lineup.

Currently, Sato had a Shiny Wingull that could serve as the future core of a Rain Team, with a Mega Swampert as its ace. This gave him the inspiration to start building a Rain Team.

Speaking of Shiny Wingull, Sato couldn't help but feel thrilled.

This Pokémon not only had the significant advantage of dual abilities but also possessed purple rating with an individual value total of 163.

Thanks to its dual abilities—one of which was Drizzle, a core Rain Team ability—the value of Shiny Wingull in a Rain Team was immeasurable.

Combining it with Swampert, which could one day undergo Mega Evolution, Sato believed it wasn't impossible for him to achieve the title of a Water-type Elite in the near future.

With the Rain Team's core and ace Pokémon already secured, Sato only needed a few more Pokémon with abilities like Swift Swim, Rain Dish, or ones that could counter Electric and Grass-types to round out the team.

In fact, Sato already had a few candidates in mind. One of them was a Poliwrath he had once seen in Viridian Forest.

If his guess was correct, that Poliwrath, which had held its own against a Gyarados in a torrential downpour, possessed the Swift Swim ability.

Its fluid movements in the rain left a deep impression on Sato.

With the Swift Swim ability, Poliwrath could traverse rain-soaked air with agility—a level of mobility Sato greatly admired.

Mega Swampert also has the Swift Swim ability. Unfortunately, its bulky frame makes it less suited for such nimble maneuvers, which are better executed by lighter Pokémon like Poliwrath.

Although Swift Swim is a Hidden Ability, Poliwhirl is a common Pokémon. With the system's detection ability, finding a Poliwhirl with this Hidden Ability wouldn't be too difficult for Sato.

Another Rain Team member Sato envisioned was Ludicolo. He thought of this after witnessing Anna's Lotad. Her Swift Swim Lotad demonstrated excellent mobility along with powerful field control and recovery abilities.

In a Rain Team, Ludicolo's role is indispensable. Its Swift Swim ability grants it incredible mobility, and with its arsenal of Grass-type moves, it becomes a formidable disruptor.

These four Water-type Pokémon—Shiny Wingull, Marshtomp, Poliwrath, and Ludicolo—formed the foundation of Sato's Rain Team. For the remaining two members, Sato hadn't decided yet.

However, he had some ideas, though finding the right Pokémon would be challenging.

Kingdra with Swift Swim and Goodra with Hydration were ideal candidates. Both are exceptional special attackers in Rain Teams.

However, these two are Dragon-types, and Goodra, in particular, is a pseudo-legendary. For now, they were only a distant dream for Sato.

Apart from Bellossom and Marshtomp, Nidoran also ranked high in individual value ratings. The Nidoran Sato had pinned his hopes on as a potential future ace did not disappoint, with an individual value total of 168.

Its Attack and Special Attack IVs exceeded 30.

In time, once Nidoran evolves into Nidoking, with its ability changing from Hustle to Sheer Force and paired with a Life Orb, it would become Sato's most powerful attacker.

A Nidoking with Sheer Force and Life Orb excels in both physical and special attacks.

Whether it's Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, and Ice Punch in melee, or Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, and Ice Beam for ranged attacks, Nidoking's broad offensive coverage is formidable.

Were it not for Nidoran's young age and untapped potential, Sato would have already removed its Everstone necklace. With its level now at 25, it could evolve anytime.

However, for the sake of its future growth, Sato decided to wait. Nidoran's current state needed to be maintained for at least a couple more months.

Pokémon don't grow at the same pace as humans, and a few months or a year was enough for Nidoran to fully mature. By then, evolving it straight to a Nidoking would pose no issue.

Naturally, Sato wasn't satisfied with the Moon Stone he currently owned.

After witnessing the effects of premium evolutionary stones like the Sun Stone and Water Stone, his standards had become more refined.

In his view, Nidoran must evolve with a premium Moon Stone to maximize its potential.

It was very likely that Bellossom's golden IV rating was closely related to the premium Sun Stone gifted by Wallace.

Similar to Wallace, Sato had a perfectionist streak.

To further enhance the capabilities of his ace Pokémon, he hoped to provide the best evolutionary conditions for Nidoran.

As a result, Mt. Moon in the Kanto region had become a priority destination for him. Even if it meant scouring every fucking inch of it, Sato was determined to find a premium Moon Stone for Nidoran there.
