CHAPTER 380 - Alex VS Theron 1.
The fight that Theron put forward wasn't something Alex was against, as this fight could help him test his new space ability in close-range battle.
He was rather excited about how he would do if he were just to use space ability against Theron.
Would space, on the major element, be enough to overpower Theron, a mythical 2-ranked entity?
He waved his hand at Theron, sending a Space Blade at him, which the guy wasn't able to see, but...
*Swish*
Theron jumped to the side, pausing in his tracks, raising a brow in surprise as his nocturnal eyes followed the trajectory of the Space Blade even though he couldn't see it; his instincts were just that good.
*Slash—Crack—Shatter*
His gaze only moved from the attack when it met the wall of the training hall, causing it to shatter before mending automatically.
"So, you have space affinity?"
Theron raised a brow in interest, only to shrug the next second.
"That, however, isn't going to be enough for you to stand against me!"
His grin returned as he roared in glee, dashing toward Alex again, and Alex, who heard Theron's words, just shook his head with a smile.
"That I know."
He smiled, raised his head, looked into Theron's eyes before he raised his palm, and...
*Snap*
*Woop*
He snapped his finger, and Theron, who had raised his fist, wanting to punch Alex, could only frown as his fist met nothing but air.

"Teleportation as well?"
He muttered, growing more and more interested in Alex.
"You don't think that it can help you keep running from me, do you?"
*Crack*
Theron questioned, stretching his body, causing thundering cracks to resound throughout the hall.
The air suddenly tensed, as if sensing something really dangerous.
"Please move behind me."
Azaroth, who was standing beside Ann, Alice, Luna, and Noctura, muttered as his expression turned serious as well.
He was given the responsibility to protect them by Alex, but he was more worried about Alex himself.
Would he be fine against Tharon, a guy he couldn't suppress even by using his demonic bloodline?
Alex, who was staring at Theron with his all-seeing eyes, knew that it was time to get completely serious, as Theron seemed to be up to something truly perilous—he could tell that as he saw the movement of mana particles within the guy's body.
"Of course not."
But he didn't lose his cool as he chuckled, replying to Theron's question.
"Good, because I'm not playing around anymore."
Theron's grin suddenly vanished; his muscles contracted a bit before...
*Fwoosh*
His long, golden mane, which was flowing down his shoulders, stared burning with golden flames, so hot that Alex, who was standing at least 50 meters away from the guy, could still sense it.
*Crackle*
But it didn't end there, as the next instant, Theron's tail lit up just like his fur waving around in slow motion, and then it was his fist; long, glowing golden claws came out of his human-like hands.
Just as Alex marveled at the sight of such a majestic appearance, his eyes widened as he felt his senses warning him about an imminent life threat.
'What?!'
Theron, who was right within his sight, wasn't there anymore; all that was left was an afterimage, and just then, Alex felt a wave of heat hitting him from the right side, causing him to snap his finger in a hurry.
*Snap*
He was teleported away from where he was standing, only to appear around 50 to 60 meters away from where he was standing.
*BOOOMMMM!!*
The moment Alex stepped into the real world, out of the space dimension, he was hit by a shockwave from the impact caused by Theron's fist hitting the ground.
*Rumble*
The whole training hall trembled along with the castle, almost breaking down if not for the four generals keeping it steady.
Alex's eyes sharpened, moving toward the spot he was standing before, but again, all he saw was a golden flash left in that spot, and this time, instead of feeling the heat, he saw a fist right in front of his head, ready to blow it off into smithereens.
'Temporal pause!'
Alex, although shocked, still made use of his Mentality of Master, which makes it possible to think faster than he could perceive.
His all-master and all-seeing eyes were also there, making it possible to take in whatever much of Theron he could still follow with his eyes.
But the next instant, Alex's expression turned grim as he stared at the lion emperor, frozen in his spot by the same temporal pause that once used to be an EX-ranked skill.
He knew that the even temporal pause wouldn't be able to hold a guy who was two levels above him for more than 1 millisecond, but...
*Crack*
His eyes widened as he saw the space that stopped Theron from moving, cracking the instant he was trapped.
'Shit!'
He hurriedly raised his arms, crossing them in front of his face; both of them had turned purple in shade, as he had used partial transformation of the celestial incubus, preparing for the worst, and just as he feared...
*Shatter*
*Woosh*
The frozen time space shattered, and the flaming fist that had stopped just some inches away from Alex's face smashed into Alex's crossed arms.
*BOOMMMMM—CRACK*
A loud boom echoed throughout the area, followed by a crisp sound of bones cracking into pieces, causing the demon general's expression to instinctively contort as if feeling the pain.
*BAAAM!*
Alex, who was shot toward the wall, his body rotating and moving like a kite with its string cut off, crashed into the wall of the training hall.
"Gah!"
Coughing out blood, he groaned, stuck in the wall, preventing it from even mending itself, staring at the golden blood staining his clothes, and he made a decision.
'Incubus transformation.'
He muttered inwardly as he felt the pain of his broken bones subside, a contribution of his supreme human bloodline.
"Hoo? You have time affinity as well?"
Theron, on the other hand, paused for a while, raising his brow as it was the first time he was fighting against someone with both space and time element affinity.
His gaze finally moved toward Alex, a grin etched on his face.
"Willing to admit defeat—?"
It was not a life-and-death battle; it was never supposed to be, or he wouldn't have stood still and barraged Alex with space-shattering punching without a stop.
It was a fight between two brothers trying to determine who is stronger, so he just wanted to show Alex the disparity between their prowess, but just as he was about to question Alex whether he would admit defeat or not, his words paused.
"Hehehehehe."
An eerie giggle started to come out of Alex's blood-stained lips; his body trembled a bit with every breath, causing Theron to frown as he felt an uneasy feeling gripping his heart.
'Oh, boi...'
Valerius, however, sighed as he saw Malak's body trembling a bit and his fists getting clenched.
'It feels like he has yet to overcome the defeat he had.'
Valerius shook his head, but he didn't say anything as he knew that Malak wasn't like Nyx; he was wise, so he wouldn't do something stupid.
The guy just needed a bit of time.
As for Nyx, well, his eyes had already turned cold; Alex's change in demeanor and his chuckle filled with cold yet devilish charm reminded him of the only moment of his life he hated more than his childhood.
Valerius, however, couldn't look at the guy's expression as Nyx was in his stealth right now.
'W-What's happening...?'
Ann, Alice, Noctura, and Luna, on the other hand, couldn't understand what was going on.
They could clearly tell that the one right now wasn't the Alex they knew, or more like, he was the same, but not the same at the same time.
They were growing confused, as right now they could see what was happening, unlike a second ago, when all they saw was Alex getting shot toward the wall.
They could tell that Alex was changing.
It became much more apparent as Alex's body jerked, only to zap out of the wall.
*Flap**Flap*...
Two large, web-like wings fluttered behind his back, and his skin tone changed into the shade of purple.
"He is transforming into his demon form."
It was only when they heard Azaroth's voice that they realize what was happening, but now, they had many questions they wanted to ask Alex after this ended.
They, however, weren't the only ones worried about Alex, as there was one more, just one more person in the hall who was ready to move forward any second, even though it went against Alex's strict orders.
It was Selina.
She had been here since the start, and she had strongly advised Alex to not play along with this absurdity, as she didn't know about Alex's real powers.
The demon generals tried to explain things to her, but Alex stopped them and told Selina to watch the battle with focus, and right now, she was doing just that.
The only problem was that she couldn't see a chance of Alex winning—that was until Alex's eyes, shining with intense violet light, turned to look at her.
