Exiting the Great Toad Sage's hall, Hui glanced down at the scroll in his hand, a satisfied smile tugging at his lips.

As expected, his journey to Mount Myōboku had been a success. He had acquired the Sage Mode training method from the Toad Sage's domain without any surprises or obstacles.

The only minor regret was his inability to clearly discern his future in the visions described by the Great Toad Sage. However, Hui didn't mind too much. Compared to a predetermined future, he much preferred one full of infinite possibilities.

Next on his agenda was the final Sage Mode—Shikkotsu Forest's Sage Mode.

Shikkotsu Forest differed greatly from both Mount Myōboku and Ryūchi Cave. Unlike the latter two, which were home to entire species, Shikkotsu Forest was inhabited by only one entity: Lady Katsuyu.

The term "one entity" was literal—Lady Katsuyu was a singular being. In the original series, Tsunade and Sakura were only able to summon parts of Lady Katsuyu, with its size during summoning dependent on the amount of chakra used.

Lady Katsuyu had existed since the era of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, living for over a thousand years. Like the White Snake Sage and the Great Toad Sage, Lady Katsuyu was revered as a "Sage."

Lady Katsuyu possessed the ability to split itself, a technique primarily used for large-scale healing. 

Its body harbored immense senjutsu chakra and natural energy. Lady Katsuyu's white body was so enormous that it seemed fused with the sanctuary where it resided.

When training individuals, Lady Katsuyu, like the White Snake Sage, infused them with natural energy. However, unlike the White Snake Sage—who devoured those unable to withstand the energy—Lady Katsuyu's temperament was much gentler.

When Hui arrived, meeting Lady Katsuyu was straightforward, and obtaining the Sage Mode training method was equally effortless.

But "at last" might be misleading—truthfully, this process had gone far more smoothly than he had initially anticipated.

Returning to Konoha from Mount Myōboku, Hui immediately entered seclusion.

Since absorbing natural energy directly was dangerous for ordinary people, leading to berserk transformations or petrification, Hui planned to have individuals store the absorbed energy in the Yin Seal.

However, storing energy alone wasn't enough. If left idle, the energy could overwhelm individuals upon release, leading to either loss of control or petrification.

Hui had already completed Step Two and had substantial progress on Step One. With two months of dedicated effort, he was confident he could perfect both.

Step Three: Creating an Internal Energy Cycle

For this step, Hui planned to incorporate multiple techniques:

The Human Body Evolution Technique, Naigawa Clan's secret technique capable of gradually adapting the human body to natural energy and facilitating its evolution. 

However, the technique had significant drawbacks, including the necessity of high natural energy concentrations and a lengthy duration.

Hui aimed to refine this technique, combining it with his own self-created techniques.

He also intended to integrate the Ryūchi Cave Sage Mode and Shikkotsu Forest Sage Mode, as both emphasized physical transformations and evolution:

Ryūchi Cave Sage Mode enhanced sensory abilities.

Shikkotsu Forest Sage Mode provided unparalleled regenerative abilities.

Both modes induced permanent physical changes in their practitioners, making their inclusion essential. By merging these techniques, Hui aimed to develop a new Sage Mode with capabilities far surpassing anything that existed.

The core innovation was allowing stored natural energy in the Yin Seal to flow into the body's chakra pathways in a controlled manner, forming a self-sustaining internal cycle.

This cycle would significantly enhance the body's ability to absorb and utilize natural energy, invoking passive evolution over time.

Yet, Hui wasn't satisfied with just passive evolution. 

Despite drastically improving absorption efficiency, the process remained slow. To accelerate it, he decided to incorporate another technique:

The Eight Gates Formation.

With the Eight Gates, Hui could push the body to its absolute limits, maximizing the benefits of natural energy absorption while further developing the new Sage Mode.
