Reincarnation into the world of Naruto with the system

Chapter 32: Chapter 32

The scene that unfolded before the future genin was deeply unsettling for both of them. However, Ino immediately forced herself to hold back. In this clan, she was a nobody, and if she dared to stand up for Hana—who was undoubtedly being beaten, because there was no other way to describe what was happening—it could escalate into an inter-clan conflict. And even if the chances were low, there was still a possibility that Hana might be considered at fault.

Having thoroughly learned the lessons of her father and mother, Ino could only clench her fists and grit her teeth. She could also walk away. That was all she could do as a member of another clan.

The same applied to everyone else. To stand against the alpha of their clan—their leader and head—was equivalent to a direct challenge. For the Inuzuka, all three of these roles were one and the same. It wouldn't even be perceived as defending Hana but as an attempt to overthrow the pack leader. Yes, some of this clan's rules were eerily similar to, if not stricter than, those of the Uchiha.

And, of course, there was also fear holding them back. Even Kiba, who had gone home early that day (wishing Ino luck with a certain blockhead… and a lot of patience), was now standing at the front of the onlookers, gritting his teeth and unknowingly digging his nails—or were they claws? With the Inuzuka, it was hard to say for sure—into his palms. But even he couldn't step in—Tsume's sheer, seething fury was overwhelming.

This was the strongest kunoichi of the Inuzuka Clan. And it was a terrifying sight.

Then, everything changed in an instant—Hana collapsed to the ground. Though she remained conscious, the best she could manage was to sit up—she was no longer capable of standing. And Tsume-sama, closing in on her, was already raising her hand for another strike. She wouldn't kill her, but she would cripple her… a brutal conclusion.

Ino shut her eyes, unwilling to witness the end of it.

But suddenly, she felt an overwhelming source of fury—one that completely drowned out the violent aura surrounding Tsume-sama. Like an adult towering over a child.

A deafening crash erupted ahead… and just before it, a gust of wind rushed past her.

Eyes snapping open in shock, Ino saw Tsume had leaped backward—and standing between her and Hana was Naruto… whose sheer hatred saturated the air around them.

And Naruto himself didn't look like… himself. A strange crimson chakra surrounded him, shaping the silhouette of a beast over his human form—even long ears (like a rabbit, a bizarre thought flickered in the girl's mind) and two tails were clearly hinting at the animalistic nature of this eerie chakra.

"A secret Inuzuka technique?"—No, it didn't seem like one.

And the way all the adults instantly tensed up—far more than even during Tsume's rage—made it clear that this was something else entirely.

Not to mention the crater in the ground left in the wake of Naruto's strike. A subtle yet clear indication that underestimating him would be foolish, even for a tokubetsu jōnin. Though still, it wasn't quite at a full jōnin's level.

Meanwhile, Ino was rapidly calculating the situation and possible consequences in her mind.

What could this mean for Naruto?

So far, nothing particularly dangerous. If she weren't here, the Inuzuka could have simply covered the whole thing up. And besides, he was the only one who could have stepped in. He wasn't part of a clan, so an inter-clan conflict was impossible. However, his status was higher than that of a regular clanless ninja, as he had been invited here for training. But he wasn't an Inuzuka, nor was he bound by their code of conduct. Academy teachings didn't cover such things, and everyone here could confirm that he had never been taught their rules—not even Kiba.

So the worst thing that could happen to him was the end of his training and expulsion from the clan grounds, with a ban on returning.

But why, then, were all the adults so tense?

That was, objectively, the best possible outcome.

"Leav—"

"Not a chance!"—The voice that cut off Tsume wasn't a voice at all—it was a snarl.

"Forced March to the Savage Tiger Mountains!"—The snarl came again, and Naruto lunged at Tsume.

The positioning of his hand before the attack resembled the swipe of a tiger's paw.

Tsume easily dodged the strike, but that was only the beginning of the sequence!

Ino couldn't catch every movement, but from what she could see, it was clear—this was another one of Naruto's inventions, part of his developing style.

Yes, Ino had long wanted to ask Naruto to train her. Ever since that fight with the clanless—Sakura, whom she knew well enough but had always considered a hopeless fool because of her strange obsession with Sasuke. Sure, she was amusing and good at academics, but still a klutz.

But after that draw… Ino had decided to become stronger. At the very least, to avoid seeing those proud looks from the two Uchiha parasites, who had displayed an entirely different level of skill during that same sparring match… and to get closer to her friend, so she wouldn't become a burden if they ended up on the same team.

Because if the Uchiha had shown a level multiple times higher than hers, then Naruto had surpassed even them—and effortlessly at that. Though, to be fair, that monster—the disciple of Might Guy—was even more terrifying.

Afterward, much to her father's tearful joy, Ino had asked to be trained more rigorously in their clan's techniques and practices, as well as everything else necessary for a proper kunoichi. She threw herself into her training with triple the previous effort.

She would have asked Naruto to teach her his taijutsu as well, but seeing how exhausted he always was… she just couldn't bring herself to take away even a couple of his free hours to train with her. She knew he wouldn't refuse. But her heart clenched at the thought of how much more he would wear himself out—especially considering that, in the first months of living with the Inuzuka, he had looked like a walking corpse!

Yes, it was definitely a sacrifice to her own development, but looking at Naruto, she simply couldn't bring herself to commit such a crime.

Shaking off unnecessary thoughts, Ino was surprised to see Tsume-sama toss aside a bent kunai—the one she had likely drawn instinctively in response to the astonishing and frightening killing intent Naruto had emitted. She had blocked one of his attacks with it purely on reflex.

"Tch, my body isn't ready for this technique yet."

"Tsume-san, I suggest we just walk away peacefully. Fighting against someone who isn't even a genin… isn't that shameful for a clan leader? And raising your hand against your own daughter… Couldn't this have been resolved with words? Is there truly a crime so great that a mother would strike her own daughter? Her own blood? Grr! What kind of thinking is that? You're a reasonable woman, the head of the clan, her mother, for heaven's sake! Can't you—"

"Silence!"—Inuzuka Tsume barked, cutting Naruto off.

"Get out! From now on, you are forbidden from setting foot on Inuzuka territory."

*"Tch, and now I have to listen to lectures from a brat!? Have you grown too full of yourself? Or is this how you show gratitude for being taken in and cared for? Ha! Today is just full of revelations—first, my daughter turns out to be an ungrateful little **, and now the freeloader is just as bad! Get lost! And as for you—"

But she didn't get to finish, interrupted by Naruto, who was now truly pushing the limits.

He should have just left quietly. Otherwise, this could get even worse… She'd have to ask her father to cover for this idiot!

"As for her, you won't do anything, Inuzuka-san. I'm taking her with me. Staying with a mother who treats her like that is clearly dangerous… and not just for her. Consider her devoured by the Fox."

"And if anyone has a problem with that, I can tell a little story. About an amusing little creature, a torn seal, and a village in the center of which this oh-so-cute being might suddenly appear. Do we understand each other?"

"And yes, I hope this stays between us. After all, there's no undoing this story now. And if it reaches someone else, it will bury both me and you, Inuzuka-san."

Naruto was openly threatening her—and doing a damn good job of it. That was something Ino never expected from him. But she couldn't understand what he was talking about.

She wanted to ask her father, but she feared that "retelling the story" to him would put Naruto in danger.

She'd have to dig through the clan archives and the school library herself.

"Just leave already, you little storyteller! And take that ungrateful *** with you. I want you both off clan grounds in five minutes!"—Tsume-sama snapped irritably.

She was truly frightening now—especially compared to the earlier oppressive pressure from Naruto, which had now almost completely vanished. Even the red chakra was gone.

However, when he turned around and tried to lift Hana into his arms (something pricked unpleasantly in Ino's chest), she noticed his glowing red eyes with slit pupils—and his whisker marks had darkened.

She didn't know how, but he managed to lift Hana… and throw her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

(The stabbing sensation in her chest vanished instantly, and she even felt a bit sorry for the girl.)

"Consider us already gone."

"Kiba, can you help Hitomi grab all our belongings from the guest house? I really don't feel like sticking around here, and your sister needs to get to the hospital as soon as possible."

Uzumaki spoke with absolute calm—like getting thrown out of a clan's territory was just another Tuesday for him.

"He's insane!"

"Does he really not understand how serious this is?"
