Restart, Spider-Man!

Chapter 230: Restart, Spider-Man! [230]

Xia Luo's gaze locked onto the twisted souls, zeroing in on Mary Jane's fragment.

Before he could extract her soul, the symbiote's black liquid surged toward him, crawling over his body.

Squelch, squelch.

The symbiote writhed, attempting to invade him. A cold shiver ran through Xia Luo.

Even if he avoided being fully consumed, becoming a host was not an option.

Without hesitation, he temporarily abandoned his effort to retrieve Mary Jane's soul and focused on fending off the symbiote.

Whirrr~

Boom!

Magic energy erupted around him, disintegrating the symbiote tendrils trying to infiltrate his body.

But more black liquid poured forth from the symbiote monster, undeterred.

Xia Luo flipped backward, retreating as the spider emblem beneath his feet flared to life. From his body, multiple giant avatars emerged.

"Whoa, we've gotten bigger."

"Great! This'll be fun."

"Cut it out! This thing is dangerous."

"How is that our problem? Let the original handle it!"

"Fine, but I'm going first!"

One of the giant clones leapt into action, delivering a flying kick. "Ultra Super Kick!"

Another chimed in, "Mega Lightning Dragon Drill!"

"Super Tornado Parking Lot Wrecker!"

"Friendly Neighborhood Light Saber!"

A massive magic drill descended from the heavens, accompanied by a radiant magic tornado. Two clones launched webs to create slicing traps, cutting at the symbiote monster's enormous body.

Electric arcs and magical energy painted the night sky over the island in brilliant flashes, and under satellite surveillance, the symbiote beast was swallowed by a swarm of Spider-Men.

Boom, boom, boom!

The relentless assault fractured the island's ground, leaving cracks that spread like spiderwebs.

"My God, there are so many giants!"

"Is this... magic?"

Amidst the onlookers' stunned exclamations, one clone expanded massively, amplified by Pym particles until it stood over a thousand meters tall. The colossal figure stomped down with terrifying force, crushing not only the symbiote monster but also the surrounding clones.

BOOOOM!!

The impact shattered the ground, splitting the island apart as seawater surged into the cracks. Waves rose high, illuminated by magical energy erupting from below.

However, the thousand-meter clone couldn't withstand the strain of the Pym particles and burst apart in a flash of red light.

Whirrr~

Boom!

The explosion engulfed the island entirely.

Screeeeech!!

Even as the seawater submerged the island, the symbiote monster roared, creating a whirlpool hundreds of meters wide. Tentacles churned the water, while colossal bolts of lightning shot outward.

Whirrr~

BOOM, BOOM!!

The blinding electric arcs split the night sky. Energy beams several kilometers long swept across the sea, boiling the water below and sending marine creatures fleeing in panic.

Feeling a pang of dread, Xia Luo grabbed one of his remaining clones.

"What are you doing?"

"Cover me."

"You're the worst—"

Before the clone could finish, it was obliterated by a lightning beam.

The red and blue light fragments scattered across the sea, allowing Xia Luo to escape through a massive portal.

Whirrr~

Boom!

Emerging behind the symbiote monster, Xia Luo's bloodshot eyes glowed crimson. His body pulsed with scarlet spider webbing, and crimson tendrils extended from his back, wielding immense force.

Wham, wham, wham!

The tendrils lashed down, pummeling the symbiote monster and sending its hulking form crashing into the ocean.

Without pause, Xia Luo launched himself into the water like a tentacled battering ram.

Sploosh!

The sea churned as magic and electric arcs collided, lighting up the battlefield in surreal hues.

"Oh my God! This is like a battle between gods and devils. I have to capture this scene—it'll be my masterpiece!"

In a dingy basement, a disheveled painter furiously sketched, inspiration surging.

J. Jonah Jameson and others watched the fight unfold, fully aware it would determine the world's fate.

The electric arcs stretched thousands of meters across the sea, followed closely by magical energy.

BOOM!!

Far from the initial impact zone, waves erupted as a massive octopus tentacle surfaced.

Screeeeech!

A giant scorpion tail followed, arcing through the air before diving back into the sea.

BOOM!

More waves rose as the red-and-blue giant was flung from the ocean, struck hard by the scorpion tail.

"Spider-Man's hurt!"

"Wait, maybe it's not that bad..."

As onlookers gasped, Xia Luo pulled the scorpion tail's stinger from his shoulder, then launched himself into the air with webbing.

Whoosh!

With the wind howling around him, Xia Luo clutched his bleeding shoulder and shifted into his electric arc form.

Crackle, crackle~

BOOM!

With a sonic boom, he shot upward as a streak of lightning.

Behind him, the monster regenerated rapidly. Severed tentacles and mangled flesh reformed, coated in glistening black scales.

BOOM!!

Crackle!

The beast unleashed another electric blast, but Xia Luo's agile form dodged, leaving the bolt to obliterate a section of storm clouds.

Through the clearing, sunlight streamed down, illuminating the ocean. Xia Luo turned mid-air, his self-healing powers sealing his wounds.

Screeeeech!

The symbiote monster surged forward, tendrils and claws tearing through the air. Its scorpion tail lashed out, while its maw unleashed another beam of electric energy.

Whirrr~

BOOM!

In the face of the onslaught, Xia Luo opened a portal, redirecting all the attacks.

Above the monster, another portal appeared, unleashing the redirected energy directly onto its body.

The symbiote monster was torn apart, its flesh shredded by its own power.

"We won!"

Xia Luo's blood-red eyes dimmed, replaced by a serene blue glow.

He had anticipated this moment, drawing the creature into a trap it couldn't avoid.

If he had used this strategy at the start, the monster's battle-hardened instincts might have seen through it. But now, with its guard down, the plan worked perfectly.

As the monster's shredded remains writhed, Xia Luo cast a soul-retrieving spell, targeting Mary Jane.

The souls of Peni Parker, Annie, and the others were another matter. As long as their souls remained intact, he was confident he could bring them back.

Whirrr~

A radiant spider emblem spread across the sea, and the twisted souls began to rise.

Xia Luo reached out, his focus on Mary Jane's soul.

Just as he was about to grasp it, her eyes snapped open, a sinister smile on her face.

"What?"

Xia Luo froze, unease creeping over him. His spider-sense remained silent.

Wait—this symbiote had Mysterio's hallucinogenic gas!

Before he could react, Mary Jane's soul shattered, the scene twisting as the symbiote monster's jaws appeared inches from his face.

You cunning bastard! Who taught you that?!

Xia Luo raised his arm defensively, but the creature's jaws clamped onto his device.

Crunch!

Sputter!

Sparks flew as the Pym Particle-powered time machine malfunctioned.

Whirrr~

The golden portal expanded, swallowing both Xia Luo and the monster in its light.

"They're gone."

Everyone stared in stunned silence as the battlefield returned to eerie calm. The dark clouds dissipated, the sea settled, and peace seemed to return.

But no one would ever forget the Spider-Man from another universe who had saved their world.

---

Meanwhile, in the universe of Symbiote Tony...

"Superheroes need regulation—for the sake of world peace."

An abandoned airport served as the stage where Symbiote Tony and a young Steve Rogers faced off from opposite ends of the tarmac.

Behind each of them stood their respective teams of heroes, a silent display of solidarity.

Steve's resolute gaze met Tony's as he replied firmly, "I won't agree to this absurd agreement. Heroes will become nothing but tools for those in power. True peace won't come from them, and it definitely won't come from you—New York's new mayor, Tony Stark."

The title made Tony smirk smugly.

"I'm glad you acknowledge my new position. My first act as mayor is to deal with unruly superheroes. Don't make this harder than it has to be."

Steve's expression hardened. "Your condition is getting worse. That alien parasite will destroy you. Get rid of it—while you still can. That's my advice."

"I don't need your concern. I feel great."

"Then we have nothing left to discuss."

"That's your choice, Steve. You'll regret it," Symbiote Tony said dismissively.

Steve took a deep breath. "Without Spider-Man's help, you're nothing."

Tony's eyes narrowed. "Then prove it."

The two leaders stared each other down, the tension between their teams crackling like invisible electricity.

Most of the heroes weren't particularly invested in the so-called registration agreement. For them, it was just an excuse to settle old scores.

The air grew heavy, the atmosphere at a breaking point.

Tony's Mark armor hummed as it prepared for action. Steve crouched slightly, raising his shield. Behind him, Natasha and others readied themselves for battle.

But before anyone could move, the clear sky above was suddenly darkened by dense black clouds.

A golden portal flared to life, and a familiar red-and-blue figure plummeted through it like a meteor, crashing to the ground with monstrous force.

"Is that...?"

Tony froze in surprise, but his shock turned to glee when he recognized the suit.

"Soldier boy, my backup has arrived. You know Spider-Man's power—you can't win."

Steve's face darkened as Tony's confidence soared.

If Spider-Man joined the fight, they had no chance.

As Steve considered a retreat, Natasha suddenly gasped.

"Something's wrong. Spider-Man looks... off."

"His body... it's huge!"

As the red-and-blue figure descended rapidly, the others noticed that Spider-Man's size was indeed far beyond normal.

Scott Lang's eyes widened. "That's Pym Particles! Everyone, move!"

"He's coming straight for us!"

The heroes immediately abandoned their standoff, scattering in all directions as the enormous figure crashed down.

BOOM!!!

The impact shattered the airport, sending debris flying. Planes were torn apart, and the terminal was obliterated by the sheer force of the collision.

"My God... that's one massive Spider-Man," Scott murmured, staring at the towering figure through the dust. Glancing at the Pym Particle vial embedded in his suit, he sheepishly lowered his head.

But Tony seized the opportunity to taunt him.

"Thumbelina, I think it's time for you to retire. Signing the agreement would be the kindest thing for you. It's clear that Ant-Man's suit is wasted on you. You don't deserve Pym Particles—you're just a small fry."

Scott's face darkened, but he couldn't argue.

He'd heard of Spider-Man's feats, and now, seeing the giant figure, it was obvious that only Pym Particles could achieve such a transformation.

Spider-Man had used the particles to become a towering colossus, while Scott could barely reach 18 meters.

The comparison stung. If word got out, he'd never live it down in the hero community.

Before his self-pity could deepen, Bucky patted him on the shoulder.

"Don't let him get to you. It's not about pride. You don't have any to lose, anyway."

Scott: "..."

As Scott debated switching sides, a thunderous roar erupted from the ruins of the airport.

Screeeeech!!

Whirrr~

A shockwave burst forth, carrying debris and forcing everyone to cover their ears against the piercing noise.

"What a terrifying creature. We need to help him!"

Tony's expression turned serious. He glanced at Steve. "Let's put our fight on hold. We need to deal with this thing first."

Steve frowned. "Spider-Man has saved all of us before. I have no reason to refuse. But we're outmatched here."

"You're outmatched. I'm not."

Tony turned to Scott. "I need your Pym Particles. Hand them over."

Scott hesitated. "That won't work. Without the Ant-Man suit, it'll be nearly impossible—"

"It's not impossible," Tony interrupted, his voice cold. "I have confidence."

As he spoke, the gold-and-red Mark armor began to shimmer, darkened by tendrils of black symbiote liquid.

"My partner can adapt to Pym Particles."
