Satranga Ishq: Tales Of Love

Chapter 7: v.

Mrityunjay dragged her away from there, through the empty garden area, to the royal library, where he pulled her in, and closed the door behind them.

Mrityunjay turned towards Geetanjali, and lifted her chin. His heart clenched, when he noticed her blood-shot eyes, brimming with tears, chin wobbling and lips between the mercy of her teeth.

" Are you crying? " the instant these words came out of his mouth, the dam of restraint broke and she sobbed hiding in his chest.

" Forgive me, Geetanjali. I know how humiliated you must feel. I apologize for my mother's harsh words."

" Doesn't matter what they say. Nothing else or no one else bother me, Prince. Only you do. " more tears rolled down, " Believe me, I'm not ignorant. Although I didn't attend the royal school, a royal teacher do came to teach me. After that, Father didn't allow me to learn more. He said it wouldn't be necessary after marriage. "

She hadn't realized that she was hiccuping so bad, until he calmed her down, " Calm down, my love. "

" But— "

" Don't say anything. What happened isn't your fault. You don't need to apologize to me or anyone else. Your father didn't fulfill his duties, but now you're my responsibility. "

" What if you got embarassed because of me? "

" Do you trust me? " he smiled when she nodded through her tears, " Then we'll definitely succeed in our mission. But you have to do, whatever I asked you to do, okay? "

" Okay " she gave a weak smile.

" Not this forced one. I want that sweet, toothy grin from my sweetest wife. " Geetanjali chuckled at that and hugged him tight.

Mrityunjay too wrapped his arms around her and breathed in contentment. When they finally pull apart, he stood up from his seating position, and moved towards the bookshelves in the corner, " We shouldn't waste any more time. Only two months are left for the coronation ceremony. You also need to prepare for it. "

Soon a pile of old, dust covered books were dumped in front of Geetanjali, as she switched her gaze from the books to her husband, in confusion, " What's this? "

" These are the history books of Gauravgarh. Every page contains events written by scholars from time to time. To rule the kingdom, one must know its history and roots. " she looked wide-eyed at the huge mountain of yellow, wrinkled pages, that were ready to engulf her under them.

" And these are some- "

" Prince, I can't do this. My reading skills are limited to letters only. I'm not even interested in anything beyond that. And these books are too heavy. Why not train me in sword fighting instead? It'll be more helpful. Right! Let's go to the training arena. " she gave him an innocent smile and stood up to walk towards the door.

Before she could as much as open the lock, an arm was slipped around her waist, and she was pulled back to him.

" Where are you running? I haven't even started teaching you yet. There's no time to waste for laziness. "

" You've become so bad lately. " she pouted, taking one of the book.

" Since I accepted my mother's challenge. You probably forgot, but I haven't. We need to prepare you for the throne." Geetanjali huffed, glared and brushed past him.

This time, she was able to unlock the door, but before she could put her foot out, she was swirled and slammed against it.

" Let go Prince. " she tried to get out of his hold, while he stood there gazing at his wife, with a playful smile.

Mrityunjay chuckled looking at her balloon like puffed-up face, " You look so adorable when you're angry. "

" Really? Aren't you wasting your precious time now? " she mocked.

" When a husband is loving his wife, even if time is wasted, what's the harm? " he leaned and whispered in the corner of her mouth.

" Prince, I'm telling you- " her mouth was shut in the most delicious way.

As Mrityunjay's lips met Geetanjali's, the world around them melted away. His arms wrapped tightly around her waist, pulling her closer as he deepened the kiss. His lips moved hungrily, pouring all his desires and passion into the moment.

Forgetting all her anger, she too moaned and let her husband waste all the time he want. Her lips parted, allowing Mrityunjay's tongue to explore her mouth. The touch sent shivers down her spine, and she felt herself getting lost in the intensity of the kiss.

Mrityunjay's hands roamed over her body, his fingers tracing the curves of her waist and hips. Her heart raced as she felt his desire pressing against her.

The kiss grew more fervent, their breathing synchronized as they surrendered to the passion. Time stood still, and all that existed was the two of them, lost in the depths of their desire.

They both pulled apart, when their lungs screamed for oxygen.

He sighed out in the crook of her neck, and muttered, " I can't love anyone but you, Geetanjali. "

Panting heavily, she brushed her slender fingers through his hair, " I love you too- "

Their moment got interrupted as a voice, from behind the bookshelves startled them, " Spare this innocent life, you two. "
