Chapter 1262: Summit of different races (1)



Once the demon king was taken down, it was as if the demons lost all of their morale.

It was as if all they could sense something happened to the demon king with the way that they suddenly lost all morale like that.

When that happened, it was like the wind had been taken out of their sails with the way that they suddenly collapsed.

In no time at all, it seemed like many of the demons wanted to surrender as they stopped attacking.

The forces of the different races saw this and stopped their attacks, but they were ready to fight if anything happened.

When that happened, almost all of the demons suddenly stopped fighting.

There were a few demons that were still fighting, but they weren't fighting against the forces of the other races.

They were pushing through the lines of demons, trying to make their way to the demon king. Or rather, they were trying to make it to the spot that the demon king had been before it was destroyed.

With the look on their faces, it seemed like they were trying to save the demon king.

Even though the demons were cruel and ruthless to each other, there were still some that seemed to follow the demon king wholeheartedly. After all, if they didn't, they wouldn't be trying to do all this to save the demon king.

But since they were trying to save the demon king, that meant that they were dangerous.

There were arrows that flew through the air towards these demons.

They didn't slow down at all as they used their powers to try and push back the arrows.

It was just that the power behind the arrows were more than enough to slow them down and once they were slowed down, the giants were able to easily take them down.

While demons were stronger than humans when it came to power, that didn't mean that they were stronger than giants.

Giants had exceptional size and power, so they were able to easily take down these demons. Then the divine energy inside of the arrows were able to purify the corruption energy in these demons.

With that, there was no one left to fight against the humans.

With the deaths of these demons, the voice once again rang out, "Do you think that you've won with this? Though it is amazing how you've managed to unify the other races so quickly. It seems that the prophecy isn't false, it seems that you really will be dangerous to us in the future."

I deeply knitted my brows upon hearing this, but I didn't get a chance to question the owner of this voice.

That was because the corruption energy that had been left behind by the demon king was fading.

That was where the voice was coming from and since it was disappearing, that meant that the owner of the voice was withdrawing from this place.

But before it could completely withdraw, I said, "Don't think that you'll be able to run forever. I'll find you one day and take you down."

"Ha, ha, ha." A booming voice rang out while laughing, but that laugh soon faded away. With the way that the laugh faded, it was as if they weren't even taking what I said seriously. But there was nothing that I could do about it since the owner of that voice was disappearing. When the laugh was gone, everything seemed to fall silent.

It was a strange silence, almost as if no one dared to say anything.

But in the end, the humans broke out in cheers since it was clear that the war was over and it had ended in their victory.

It was just that I couldn't feel the same way as the others.

After all, it was clear that this was far from being over yet...

Two days had passed since that final battle.

During that time, the demons had been captured and placed in different prison camps based on their race. There were some that were too big or too small to place in normal prisons, so special prisons had to be made for them.

The one good thing was that it didn't seem like the demons were planning on fighting back at

all.

They quietly stayed in the prison camps that they had been sent to and didn't cause any problems.

With the way that they behaved, it really seemed like they had lost all motivation.

The demon king seemed to have a very high position in the demon race that his death had caused this kind of reaction in them.

But it wasn't the time to deal with the demons right now.

That was because instead, there was something more important to do.

The place that everyone gathered after the war was the Anthid Kingdom.

This was the kingdom that was the closest to the front lines, which was why this was the place that everyone gathered.

However, they didn't gather in the palace of the Anthid Kingdom.

Instead, they were gathered in the royal gardens where a large table had been moved. This was a table that seemed a bit too large for humans to sit at, but it was a table that was perfect

for giants.

Which was why it had been brought out to the royal gardens.

Sitting around the table were the representatives from the various races, which included the

giants.

But only the giants looked like they were comfortable sitting there since everyone else was too small for the table.

At the head of this table were the humans, but it wasn't the one that everyone expected to be

sitting there.

Instead of representatives from the four empires, it was someone that no one expected to be sitting there.

But in the end, they couldn't refute that person's right to sit there.

After all, it was this person that had brought these different races to come and help the human

race.
