Star Wars: Kew'ilaä's journey

Chapter 7: Chapter 6: Unexpected disputes

A group of shade looking people were gathering at a remote place near the Jedi temple. It seemed like they were planning something. Only time will tell what they are up to...

(Hooded master's POV): My friends, I think that I found the person you are looking for. Can you let me know if my daughter is still alive?

*One of the grunts showed a live feed of his daughter being bound and hanging.*

You mentioned that he is a bit different from the traditional species. I found him at the temple and he should be resting at the moment as he just came back from a mission. Other masters also want to get rid of him, so we can use this to our benefit. Shall I inform them of what you are planning?

(Mysterious group's POV): The leader of the group scoffed at the supposed master of the Jedi order and asked "I thought Jedi were supposed to not have attachments, but I guess you are different from the others... Weakling." The master looked at him while clenching his fist and teeth, but proceeded to ask "Whether they could let his daughter go, now that he has delivered on his promise."

The leader told him that there has been a change of plans and that the master needed to take the person of interest to them. The master was shocked. He was not expecting that he needed to do anything else. "No please, I cannot do that, it will not work. I am not familiar with that person...". The mysterious leader looked at him and an eerie smile crept up and he said "Well make it work, because your daughter's life depends on it" and he laughed loudly. He whispered something in the master's ear.

*Some time passed since the events between the mysterious group and the hooded master of the Jedi order.*

(Kanitsae's POV): What the hell is going on?!?!?! Why are there so many people on the ground and bleeding... AND most of all why is my older brother standing over them!

Shock came over me and I had a flashback to all the lifeless animal bodies in my brother's room. NO... HE CAN'T.. RIGHT??? He is not that type of a person to just kill people without a reason...

Then I remember one of the fond memories I have of my brother. Him taking care of both my other brother and me when we were sick. He used the force to heal us, even when this had a negative effect on him due to his lack of control and knowledge on force healing.

I yelled at him "Brother what happened and are you alright?" and when I was near my brother I saw something that I will never forget and that might haunt me forever...

*Flashback to 1 hour earlier*

(Jaraen's POV): After my talk with the grandmaster, I was on my way to my brother's room. He would always spend most of his time in that room. I would often tease him for being a shut-in, but he would rebuke saying that not everyone is an attention freak like me. Which I hated, because I did not have a good comeback from that one.

I was always known as the loud one throughout our academy days. Moreover, people would tell me that they knew I was coming as they heard me challenging my brother to another thing. From sparring bouts to Holochess and all else where we could compete.

I hate to admit it, but my brother has always been there for me and I just want to prove that I can stand on my own by beating him. It was to prove to him that I do not need his protection, and that I can protect him and our sister. However, he excels at everything. *deep sigh*

When I talk to the others they all seem to have vague memories of their parents or homeplanets. I even remember my parents holding me. But my older brother Kew'ilaä seems to be the exception as he has been at the temple as a baby.

All of us secretly suspected that he was a love child from grandmaster Sunrider, as she is always strict with him and he is her one and only direct disciple. She always rejected the notion.

Before I knew it I was at my brother's place, but somehow it felt a bit off. I entered his room without knocking, which I knew would trigger him. *smiles internally*

*30 minutes before (Kanitsae's POV)*

(Kew'ilaä's POV): On my way back to my room I kept pondering over the injustice that I noticed on Coruscant. I still cannot believe that the Jedi order is ignoring slavery and that we only listen to one side of the story in a conflict between two parties.

Those Zhell's were despicable with their hateful slurs towards me and the slaves. Acting like a victim in the dispute, but treating the Taungs like slaves. They were treated as less than cattle and more like vermin. I still remember their disdainful looks.

I was really disappointed in master Shan, he seemed like an okay man and a just master. But after this mission, I see that not everything is as it seems. You need to look at more than just words and appearances to determine a person's character.

It reminded me of a quote: "Actions speak louder than words; let your words teach and your actions speak.". I still do not seem to remember who said this quote and why I know this, not that it matters.

I pondered about what I should tell my siblings and what we would do going forward. My recent experience made me question a lot about the order and its purpose. I know that they expect me to lead it in the future, but how can I lead an organisation that I myself do not trust and believe in?

Before long I was near my room. I heard a loud bang and as I got closer to my room, I started to hear more and more noises. (will be continued in the next chapter)

*1 minute after (Kanitsae's POV)*

(Grandmaster Sequoia's POV): *GASPS* "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE?! YOUNG MAN AND YOUNG WOMAN YOU TWO NEED TO EXPLAIN YOURSELVES!"
