-Heavenly Star Palace-
Hearing such a praise from Veldanava stunned him slightly, but regardless, part of him was happy.
Was it because he was praised by the Creator of this World?
Or was it because a literal incarnation of a God had praised him.
He couldn't know, but for now, he had decided to push that feeling to the back of his mind.
"On that note, Veldanava-sama, I have a theory about the creation of other possible races. Would you like to hear?"
Veldanava who had a smile on his face froze for a moment.
He looked at Twilight who simply stared back at him with the same gaze.
Ramiris on the other hand had a sense of deja vu of what Twilight was about to propose but didn't say anything.
"Let us hear it."
Veldanava eventually nodded, giving Twilight the go ahead who then in turn nodded.
"Spirit Incarnation."
At the mention of this, Ramiris who had been sipping on tea suddenly choked on the tea she sipped.
"Wait, wait, wait, Twilight, that's a very… I don't know—plan, you're proposing there."
"Could it be….."
Veldanava muttered something along those lines. Could it be that Twilight was attempting close to the same thing he did?
Plus. The idea of other races. It wouldn't be bad at all.
"But then, even if you succeed, wouldn't conflicts arise between these races down the line?"
Dagruel had interrupted the conversation once more. Sure the world will be more lively with the diverse races.
However, who is to say the conflict too wouldn't escalate.
"Well…. That's true, I guess."
He had only thought of Veldanava who split the Great Holy Spitit of Light into seven without considering possible conflicts if he were to go with that idea.
One could say Twilight simply wanted to do the same as Veldanava without thinking about whatever would happen down the line.
Twilight's version of Veldanava would be get a Greater Spirit to incarnate into a material body he would prepare.
At least with that, he wouldn't have to cultivate from his own soul.
Sure. He had already succeeded in creating two High-Humans; however, surely, it would take time before they populated the Cardinal World.
Although the passage of time to them was just as blinking, regardless, Twilight had thought it would be amusing.
Perhaps, it was just Twilight who wanted to prove his theory right as the creator had done so.
"Well. I don't oppose it. Interaction between different races. Interesting."
Veldanava after thinking about it with [Thought Acceleration] that sped up his thoughts more than a billion times over came to such conclusions.
Unlike the Twilight who would have been.
This Twilight had certain reservations. Perhaps, it's due to something called: common sense.
But then, there is that temptation for more knowledge.
Call it curiosity.
The desire to know what is possible and what is not in this world.
As if the ability to manipulate the laws of this world is not enough.
The sets of laws that governed this world too were far different.
For a being like him. Would never die. Even if he did, as long as his soul is intact, he can always come back.
However, this is different.
From the magical beasts he had observed in Eden.
Upon their death, they—rather, their soul seems to dissipate into thin air.
Was there even the concept of reincarnation?
Twilight could have asked Veldanava for the answer, but no.
It wouldn't be any fulfilling if he got the answer on the spot.
The same applied to his [Spirit Incarnation Project].
Regardless of whether he was no longer Omnipotent and Omniscient, he was still God.
—At least to Twilight.
That's why, as long as he had the permission from God himself, he was okay with whatever result that would come out if it.
"Veldanava, you're agreeing with him? Ahh… fine then, but you'll have to convince the spirits themselves!"
"That's the motive Ramiris–sama."
Twilight had given a smile that didn't quite reach his ears to the Administrator of Stars who felt a chill down her spine.
"Ah. Twilight. By the way, here."
Veldanava seemed to toss something to him. Something almost intangible to him, making the Divine Ancestor slowly widen his eyes.
"This is…."
"A reward. You can do whatever you like with it."
Twilight looked at what was on his hands and slowly kept it away.
Veldanava seemed to have noticed so he had done the same.
Good grief.
What an easy-going creator Veldanava was. But such a creator was what Twilight liked.
-Dwelling of Spirits-
It's been a day since then. And Twilight had more so gotten an invitation from Ramiris to the Dwellings of Spirits.
Dwelling of Spirits—A labyrinth that is connected to the Spirit Realm where Fairies and Spirits reside.
Entering the place, it was eerily silent with a hallway that seemed to stretch forever.
"Haha!"
"Hehe!"
Walking along the hallways that seemed to loop eternally, Twilight paused before looking up with a smile.
"It's kind of rude for you Spirits to treat the guest of your Queen this way."
However, the response he was met with begged to differ—
"Hahaha! That's funny."
"Very funny."
"Of course we'll let you see Queen Ramiris. After you have passed our trial that is."
As they said so with a chorus of laughter, Twilight slightly turned his head to the back almost nonchalantly.
The ground began to slightly shake as the floor behind him seemed to begin to rise up.
"Earth Elemental. Not just any one a Greater Earth Elemental. Interesting."
Twilight then turned to face the elemental that could be passed off as a golem.
"Correct. Correct."
"You can pass this can you?"
As Twilight faced the Elemental, the Spirits hidden couldn't help but taunt.
The Earth Elemental swung its massive fist at Twilight with a resounding—
THUD.
However, "unfortunately for you, you have to bring the likes of a Great Holy Spirit to deal with me."
Saying that, cracks appeared on the Earth Elemental's arm before spreading to the rest of its body, returning it into dust.
Twilight had easily disarmed the Elemental without even twitching his muscles.
«Unique Skill: Harbinger»
"Hm… so, is this an incarnation? No, it doesn't feel entirely material. A manifestation, perhaps?"
After Twilight had dispatched the Earth Elemental, he had kept his hand on his chin and began to ramble on and on.
To say the spirits were shocked was an understatement.
"Wha–?"
"What just happened?"
Then—
"What are you doing! That's Lady Ramiris' guest!"
"Eh!?"
"Seriously?"
A new Spirit seemed to have joined them telling them off.
Next, they begin to materialize in front of him.
Three Light Spirits by their features females as the one in the middle bowed to Twilight.
"Honored Guests. Lady Ramiris is waiting for you."
"Alright. Let's go."
Putting his thoughts behind him for the meantime, he turned towards the Spirits as he followed them.
Normally, even if he had passed the first trial, it wasn't as if they'd just let him pass.
They would have come up with a second, third, fourth one.
But having been told he was actually Ramiris' guest, had they let him go.
They entered through a door which led to a curved staircase that seemed to reach the sky.
'For real?'
"Lady Ramiris is right at the end. Please."
The Light Spirits motioned for him to go ahead.
It wouldn't take long, Twilight had reached the top of the Labyrinth.
He now stood at a glass disk-like platform where in the middle, Ramiris sat on a chair and a table in front.
"You're here."
"Greetings, Lady Ramiris."
Twilight addressed as Ramiris then motioned to the chair in front of her.
"Please, sit. And pardon those children. It's been a while since we've had visitors. Well, aside from Veldanava, that is."
She said with a sheepish smile, but Twilight simply shook his head.
"I'm not bothered by it. I don't mind."
"I see…. Well that aside, I believe you're here for that matter, no?"
"Yes."
"Then, in that case. Like I said before, it's up to you to convince the Spirits if they want to incarnate or not."
Surely, Ramiris could just command them to do accordingly. But why should she?
Even though she's the Spirit Queen. Not all of them would just say "okay yes" and accept it.
Spirits are quite fickle afterall. They could do that just to spite her.
And even Twilight, he had but a chance with them. If they refuse, then naturally it can't be helped then.
"Convincing the Spirits…. How hard is it?"
Ramiris first paused, then she glanced over at him. Her lips slowly curving slightly.
"Oh? Are you worried? It can't be that you're worried are you?"
"Relax." Ramiris continued, waving a hand.
"If they like you, they'll naturally follow. But if it's for that, well... you might have some trouble."
Hearing that didn't relieve Twilight in the slightest.
For a moment, he seriously considered the idea of kidnapping a few Spirits, but before resorting to such measures, he decided to try persuasion.
Naturally, there were a few of them that were intrigued by Twilight's words.
He had sprinkled a few words like "Veldanava-sama did this with this" and "Veldanava-sama did that with that."
And maybe a little bit of Veldanava-sama will be happy or something along those lines.
"Th–that guy—"
"He's swindling them."
Watching from her seat, Ramiris gawked at the scene before her.
Ramiris was naturally taken aback at the way Twilight basically had the Spirits twirling around his palm.
Of course he wasn't entirely lying, but Twilight may have gaslighted them by saying how the Primordial Angels are superior since they were born from the Great Holy Spirit of Light.
With that and some sprinkle of words. He had gaslighted the Spirits to helping his research.
"Veldanava, that guy is scary."
Ramiris couldn't help but shrink on her chair as she stared at Twilight who had a somewhat evil smile on his face at that moment.
