Chapter 3: Chapter 3. Real People
The howling winds outside Sienna-Rose's grand estate in Azure Valley represented the turmoil brewing within her heart. The four women, who were once just pixels and lines of code in a game, had become flesh and blood, each with their own set of feelings, expectations, and unfulfilled desires. Sienna-Rose found the reality somewhat bizarre, having previously thought of their existence as nothing more than prepared lines in a fictional world.
Yet here she was, confronting the annoyance of their disappointment, recognizing that the game had failed to properly prepare her for the complicated intrigue of the relationships that lay ahead. The four wives—Claire, Olivia, Sophia, and Haley—stood in front of her, their emotions a mix of exasperation and longing, their voices rising like the storm outside as they expressed their complaints.
"So, apparently, the four wives of Sienna-Rose are not happy about the living conditions," Sienna-Rose muttered to herself, her hands pressed against her temples in a futile attempt to quell the rising tide of anxiety. "They were often left alone; when there's a storm outside the house, they deal with it by themselves, alone. Dealing with people or the guest of my estate while I wandered off, flirting with God knows who."
The slap of realization hit her hard, and she couldn't help but facepalm as vivid memories flooded her mind. She recalled the countless hours spent exploring cities, villages, and guilds, all in a desperate bid to win the hearts of every character, not realizing that in her quest for perfection, she had neglected the very women who had chosen to share their lives with her.
"But I already have you four! I'm not flirting!" She suddenly shrieked in frustration, her voice slicing through the air like a knife through butter.
Sienna-Rose had been accustomed to a certain routine in the world of 'Vintage Point.'. It had always been just her and her four wives, a self-contained universe in which everything revolved around one another.
Visitors were relatively rare, usually just those with important news or updates, and even then, Sienna-Rose would come across them in the morning. However, as she was thrown into this physical, breathing reality, the fact of unexpected guests caused a startling shift in her perception.
Claire, with her long, wavy, red hair and a spirit, stepped forward. "We wanted a divorce, but something always held us back!" The words tumbled out like an avalanche, laden with emotion.
"I wanted my son. I miss my son," Olivia spoke, her voice breaking like a fragile thread. "It has been two years since I last saw him." Her eyes shimmered with unshed tears, a stark contrast to the playful character Sienna-Rose remembered from the game.
"You said you were going to help me find my parents' remains in the deep mine! Where are they?" Sophia's voice was laced with anger, a far cry from the introverted girl Sienna-Rose had once known.
Sienna-Rose turned to Haley, the quiet blonde who had remained silent throughout the exchange. "Are you not going to say anything, Haley?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.
Haley looked up, her expression soft yet resolute. "No, I just wish you could share the same amount of attention and time with us. With me." The words hung heavy in the air, wrapping around Sienna-Rose's heart like a vine, squeezing tightly.
Sienna-Rose was surprised to see that none of the four wives resembled the characters she used to play with inside the game. They were not images; they were real women with real emotions, each with a unique mosaic of experiences that created who they were.
Olivia, who had been fun and seductive during the game, was now a woman burdened by the gravity of motherhood and grief. Claire, who had once exuded confidence and charm, now appeared vulnerable beneath the weight of her past.
Sophia, once portrayed as an introverted wallflower, exuded a fiery energy and sharp wit. And Haley, although being portrayed as a city girl with an air of arrogance, was kind and loving, her heart open but guarded.
"Wait a minute, you want a divorce?" Sienna-Rose stared at Claire, who immediately averted her gaze, a blush creeping up her cheeks.
Sienna-Rose took a deep breath, rustling from the bed to sit on the edge. Olivia and Haley rushed to her side, their hands warm against her skin as they offered silent support. "Alright, I think I understand. I've been neglecting you four enough."
"Wait—" Claire rushed to the front of Sienna-Rose, her expression a mixture of panic and uncertainty.
"I'll ask later about what holds you back from divorcing me. But, Olivia, if you want to bring Ivan here, let's go. We'll build more for him." Sienna-Rose's voice softened with determination. "And once I'm fine, I'll go to the mines and find your parents, Sophia." She smiled gently.
"And you, Haley, if you need help with your sister and want to do something for her, renovate her house. Just tell me, okay?" She patted Haley's head with affection, overwhelmed by the presence of four beautiful souls surrounding her.
"If you still want a divorce, I'll go talk to the church to arrange it. As long as it's what you want, so be it," she added, her heart racing at the idea of losing Claire.
"No, wait—" Claire's cheeks flushed a deeper shade, her voice trembling.
"Well, do you mind leaving the room for a while? I need some time to sort things out," SiennaRose, she requested softly. Sophia had already been out of the room before, but she's back, bringing a plate of soup.
It took considerable persuasion to finally usher the four women out of her room, and once the door closed behind them, Sienna-Rose let out a muffled scream into her pillow.
Frustration intertwined with excitement as she hit herself lightly. This was no dream. She was really becoming the Sienna-Rose, the character she had once controlled in 'Vintage Point.'.
"Four wives! And a vineyard! Let's see what else…" she murmured, a mischievous grin tugging at her lips. "What's that? Status window?"
A transparent blue screen materialized before her, illuminating her astonished face. The status displayed numbers that would have made any gamer envious—her HP stood at an astounding 999,999, with levels soaring to 999. All her stats—strength, defense, attack, speed, agility, and luck—were over 100, far exceeding the usual game settings.
"Holy shit! Is this because of the mod? Did I get a cheat? This is overpowered!" A chuckle escaped her lips, excitement bubbling within her as she explored the newfound powers.
"And money? I can even use spatial storage. I'm practically a king in this game!" Her laughter echoed through the room, lightening the weight she felt in her chest.
As she scanned her wealth, her eyes widened in disbelief. "Ninety million Large Gold?" she gasped, calculating furiously.
1 large gold is 10 gold, 1 gold is 10 large silver, 1 large silver is 100 silver, 1 silver is 10 large copper, and 1 large copper is equal to 100 copper. If in her world before, she could buy 100 copper with $1 before the unlimited money mod was created.
Then currently she has, "That's nine quadrillion something? More than a trillion? Damn, what the fuck!" Sienna-Rose couldn't contain her laughter any longer, the sound ringing pure and unrestrained.
Outside her room, the four women waited, their expressions a mixture of concern and curiosity as they listened to Sienna-Rose's ecstatic outbursts. "She's awoken as a totally different person," Sophia remarked, her brow furrowed in thought.
"I agree. That's not the Sienna-Rose we know," Olivia added quickly.
"I know; she never wanted to bring Ivan here. For her to say she wants to divorce me, that's… not the Sienna-Rose I know," Claire bit her lip, worry etched across her face.
"You asked for a divorce; she'll give it to you. What more do you want?" Sophia replied nonchalantly.
"It was always just a threat!" Claire retorted, her voice rising in panic.
"And usually after that, she will listen to us. How long—one day, maybe two?" Olivia questioned, her hope flickering like a candle in the wind. "I'll get Ivan before she changes her mind. You three don't mind, right?" The three younger women shook their heads in silent agreement.
"I'm going to check on my sister," Haley said, determination sparking in her eyes as she walked away.
"Wait, Haley! Now that she's awake, who's going to visit her bed tonight?" Sophia asked, genuine curiosity lacing her tone.
"I will," Haley replied, her voice soft as she made her way down the stairs.
