"Are you fucking crazy? He is literally dying! Are you fucking crazy?" I yelled, pulling the madman back as he kept shaking Reece furiously even though Reece was out of breath and was bleeding from literally everywhere.

"Yes, I am crazy! I need to know where she is! And he knows! He is the reason she is not here!" Demetrius yelled back, jerking my hands off like a crazy beast. With the dark circles under his eyes and his black angry eyes, he looked more dangerous and he was more dangerous than he had ever been. "And what happened to you?

You were not like this! The master of the magic tower is not supposed to be this soft! Is it because he is your wife's brother?"

"Nothing happened to me. Unlike you, I think with my head, not my heart. At this rate, he will die and we will find nothing out. Let him get treatment, at least," I said. "And I am not like you. I do not have just my wife who I care about.

You… You only care about her and no one else around you! You think someone can live that way? I care about Blue too. She is like my little sister. But you are being excessive at this point. If Reece dies now, how will you ever find out?

With her cat? You think her cat can trace her with only that amount of mana? What if her power isn't awakened yet?"

Demetrius had been going out with the cat and would let it loose everywhere and follow wherever it went as the cat could trace her. But what if she was too far? It would be impossible for the cat to trace her. He was so desperate when nothing was working that he decided to use the cat even though it was a feeble attempt.

"Now, aren't you the one not using your head? Who else would teleport these two, other than my wife? Trust me, no one is kind enough to do that if it's not her."

No one usually did this type of thing as it could kill them. Blue's cat actually found Reece and Abel in the grand bedroom of the palace. Demetrius barely entered that room anymore since Blue was not there, but her cat did. Since she missed Blue, she would go there whenever Demetrius would return to the palace.

It should be Blue who did it, but the bedroom had an object that prevented from any magic taking place.

"What if her power is awakened? No, I know that her power is awakened."

"But how did she…?"

"Your Highness, my lord, the patients are in a serious state? Would you please…?"

"Let's go, Demetrius. Don't be a brat and come with me!"

I pulled Demetrius out of the room with me. Three doctors were treating Reece and Abel. Abel's condition was serious and Reece was not in a good condition as well. Demetrius did not let any maids to even enter his bedroom. So, they were only found because of Sapphire, Blue's cat. We did not know how long they had been there.

But when they were found, Abel was unconscious and Reece had breathing problem, was barely conscious.

"What I was saying- how did she do it? How did she break through the barrier? I made that device, Demetrius. I am confident no one can break that!"

"But someone did, she did," he said. "We don't know what kind of power Blue has. In general, we don't know much about dark mages. She can be more powerful than you and can break it."

It hurt my pride a bit that someone could break through my barrier, but it was possible.

"She did this. I know, it's her. No one else will risk their life for someone else like this!"

"Give him a bit of time," I said as calmly as I could. "Let him gain back his strength to talk, at least. He has been tortured a lot, it seems. Let's not talk about Abel. I can only imagine what he has been through."

"… Two…"

I took just one look at Demetrius and everything was clear. He did something. He did something without consulting me. I had never seen him thinking with his heart before. It was only after his marriage that he started to lose himself to his emotions when it came to his wife.

"What are you planning? No, what did you do?" I asked, shaking him by the shoulders. "Hey, what did you do? You didn't do something crazy, did you?"

"Nothing," Demetrius said and turned his back to me, walking away with long strides. I quickly caught up to him and pulled him by the arm forcefully. He was way too strong. My physical strength was nothing compared to his. But I needed to know what he did. If he did something crazy, something might happen to him too.

He was my best friend and my childhood friend. No matter how his personality was, I could always accept him. Constant fighting was like a normal conversation between us and we got along well. I did not want to lose him.

"It's none of your business."

"It is my business!"

"Why?"

"Because you are my friend! Or, why, you bastard? Admit it, or not; I am not selfish like you that I won't even admit this!"

He clicked his tongue and looked at me with annoyance like he always did. It was how we both looked at each other. It was normal; other ways were gross.

"… I have sent someone…," he mumbled.

"Who? Where?"

"Where she is," he said. "He is a dark mage and… he gave me some information…"

"What information? And who? Give me the details quickly."

"Blue's cat… It detected a dark mage, not too powerful, but just enough to help me. I attacked him. For the first time, I appreciated having black eyes, as it made me more powerful than him," he said. "I threatened him. He revealed he is working for Blue's father.

He couldn't tell me much about his identity because her father placed a curse on him that if he was to spill anything what's going on behind the wall, his tongue will be cut the moment he says the first word with the intention of revealing everything. He could give a gist of everything. Blue… she is… she is not okay, perhaps. He could not tell clearly as he saw him during some sort of ceremony."

"What kind of ceremony?"

"I don't know that. He could not say it. He could not tell their location as well, but he knows where it is. Since I took his child away…"

"You took his child away? Where did you find his child?"

"He was with his family, eating out. I took his five-year-old boy hostage. He is with your wife. Hasn't she told you that?"

"I haven't gone to the magic tower for three days and came straight here when I got the news," I replied. "If he is with Ruby… He might not want to return to his family anymore. Anyway, what else?"

"He pretended to betray Blue's father and got caught. I mean, he got caught because that's part of the plan. He is in the dungeon. The initial plan was to make it seem like Abel escaped. I was not sure if Reece was there too until now. He will say Blue did it and will say that he can show how she did that.

He said Blue's father is someone who likes to smart people and the way they do something. So, he would be eager to know how she did it. When he would be taken to Blue, he will break the room's barrier."

"How will he break the room's barrier if he is not a powerful mage? It looks like Blue's father is a really powerful dark mage. Then, how? Unless, he is… strong in one field only."

Usually, mages tried to cover all kinds of magic since they could at least manage to save themselves in almost every situation. But some mages who had less mana than normal used all their mana to get better in just one field. As a result, they could only do one type of magic, but were good at it, like really good at it.

"He can only break magic barriers," he said.

"I knew it! There is no other way… But are you sure if this plan will succeed?"

"It needs to. It has to."

"Demetrius, I know I am not the type of person who is able to give false hopes and you are also not the kind of person to believe that sorts of things. To be frank, I think she is not okay. But I know that she can be found. Remember, she did not leave on her own. So, she definitely is trying to find a way to come back. She will come back," I said.

"But when she comes back, be careful with how you treat her. I fear she won't be the same."
