Chapter 322: Unexpected Attention?
"Then I'll take my leave. If I need something else I'll contact the number you have provided." Under her boss's passionate gaze, the man left with his maid.
He came in 10 minutes ago, asked to buy a shop, found one he liked, paid in full, signed the contract and left. That was the fastest deal she had witnessed during the time she worked here.
"Man, rich guys are so good. Can't believe that he bought the best mansion in the city because he planned to stay here for a few days to set up a shop. And guess what he bought the shop later, so funny." The woman sighed wondering where she went wrong to end up with her cheap-ass husband.
"Wait boss, you mean that mansion on the C block of residential area was sold?" The black-haired girl with a lily in her hair couldn't believe it.
"Yes, I just got the report a few hours ago. Mr. Mutsurugi sold it to the gentleman from before. It is weird because no matter how much I asked him he wasn't ready to put a price on it because he used it for his secret escapades. Hmm, Lily? Where did that girl go?" The woman blinked finding the girl missing. This hasn't happened before when she worked on shifts. Even going out to the lobby she couldn't find the kid anywhere.
"She wasn't a spy, right?" She dreaded her big mouth.
Below the dealership building, Lily took out her phone in a hurry. She planned to call her boss, and within two rings the call connected making her brighten up.
Hello Lily, what happened? Do you need someone to pick you up? I can send eyelashes with the car. A soft and calm voice asked, and although the care in her voice made her happy. Now wasn't the time for that.
"Fubuki-sama, someone else bought the Mansion you wanted!" Lily still in shock couldn't believe it. Part of the reason she worked in this estate dealership was to gather information on that property.
But, because of the staggering price tag that kept the mansion unsold, Lily and her boss didn't see a way to buy that place. After all, the owner had straight up refused the offer and made that price tag to keep buyers at bay. Now, that house got sold just like that.
How can that happen? I didn't even get enough funds for that place! Gah! Will I need to put my body on the line again? Hearing those words Lily's eyes widened.
"No boss! You don't need to do that again!! Maybe we can talk with this guy. Another way to get that property should exist. That guy is unpowered from the looks of it." She remembered the details of the conversation, but there wasn't much on Adam she could gather. But, doing something was better than doing nothing.
I see… that way is much more desirable. After all, I don't know how long it would take to gather the funds, but if he gives us a fair price, we can at least try. Come to headquarters tomorrow and we'll talk about how to proceed with this. If possible get all related documents to him to get more information. Fubuki started to sound more confident as time went on, and Lily entered the dealership to get a copy of the documents before quitting there.
"We can finally get the headquarters that suits Fubuki-sama's beauty!" Happy with herself, Lily skipped to her other part-time job.
But, they had no idea what type of individual they planned to approach.
"This shop doesn't look so bad." Adam surveyed the empty two-story building at the edge of what seemed like an entertainment area.
This city was divided into office areas, residential areas, and lastly the entertainment area. This area had restaurants, cafés, theatres, game shops, arcades, manga stores, malls, and much more. The shop he had bought was on the edge of the residential area and Entertainment area. A good spot for a shop dealing with food.
"It has a simple structure and wouldn't take long to redesign. Also, there is enough space for people to sit and enjoy themselves too." Grayfia had started to clean the place, although it was clean before it looked dazzling now.
The marble floor and the white walls looked new even without him doing a single thing. Now only one thing remained.
"What I should include on the menu." Adam thought about his options while placing down the furniture.
"Since Master is here to relax, choosing something simple would be better." Grayfia wanted Adam to get some proper rest seeing how troubling Darkness was. She felt tired and she wasn't even involved. But, Adam had to deal with it head-on for over a day.
"It would really be better if I didn't have to do too much. Hmm… I suppose I'll go with that." Adam had time to unwind for the first time in a while. So, he intended to start with something that didn't take much effort to set up.
Something that could be handled even by normal people, meaning he didn't have to train anyone to make things, or be present to overlook the process till he found the workers. He could make things once and leave it to the employees to deal with the stuff. It was similar to what he had in mind for Ai's world, but that could get him famous too.
However, thinking of her he was reminded of the thing he had in his storage. He had forgotten to put this extra stuff he made for Ai in the fridge. The extra raisin ice cream he made remained with him.
'She's sure to throw a tantrum when I get back.' Strangely enough, he looked forward to it.
But, with that, he finalized the decision.
"An ice cream parlor it is." Adam renovated the shop quickly using his own hands. Although he had a month in this world, he planned on enjoying it till he could.
After all, this would become his first break in a long time, but it wasn't a break as he had to work on his plans. But, he could do it while lying back. He wouldn't have to train the employees in anything special. They had to scoop and put things in a cup or cone while a few more things, that wouldn't take long to learn.
'Master seems happy.' Grayfia watched from his side as he set up the board outside.
His smile made her smile too. Catching herself she wiped it off, however it appeared again when she saw his smile.
'It is strange… this connection…' At first, she couldn't understand it, but now it was becoming a little clear.
"Grayfia, are you feeling alright?" His question caught her off guard.
"…Yes, I feel better than usual." Her expression didn't agree with her words.
'Then why is your red?' Although the question did trouble him, he kept it to himself for that moment.
"The only thing left now is to make the ice cream." The sun had set a while back and was about to rise soon. The two had worked nonstop to turn this old shop into a top-tier ice cream shop.
The brand Heavenly had opened a new branch in yet another world. When the shop opened that day, he didn't get a customer for a few hours.
"Hello?" But, then came one kid.
He was about ten, wearing a shirt and shorts with a backpack on his person. Yet, his demeanor was much more relaxed.
"Hello, what can I get for you?" Adam asked with an amiable smile. The kid looked even smaller than Ophis, so he planned on giving him a double scoop even if he asked for a single.
"One Mint Chocochip with chocolate syrup and almonds, please." One of the Class S Heroes, Child Emperor made his order after scanning the menu behind Adam.
Although he had a big first customer, even Adam didn't imagine such a big start for his shop.
