Waiter from Nowhere

Chapter 39: Aftermath

The silence that followed was deafening. Jay was alone—completely and utterly alone. The world that had once been vibrant with life was now a desolate wasteland. There was no sound, no movement. Only the echo of his own thoughts remained.

He had done it. He had destroyed everything.

His body was battered, broken, and covered in scars, but he was still alive. He was the only living being left in a world that had been wiped clean of all life.

And in that silence, he could only wonder: Was this the cost of immortality? Was this the price of wielding such unimaginable power?

His heart was heavy with the weight of his choices. The darkness had consumed the world, and the light had been extinguished. And in the end, it had all been for nothing.
