Crack... Buzz!

At the moment Ambessa crushed the teacup in her hand, Rek'Sai's spear sliced through the air, striking downwards.

The horizontal slash of the spear was powerful yet swift. Sensing the air slicing near his neck, Link did not look back; he simply flicked his hand.

As Link's palm collided with the blade's edge, his five fingers struck it in succession like plucking a pipa.

Rek'Sai felt as if the spear in his hand had suddenly turned into a slippery eel; as he tried to regain control, the vibrating spear shattered his grip.

Blood splattered as Rek'Sai lost hold of the spear, which clattered to the floor.

Seeing this, Ambessa narrowed her eyes and began to weigh her options.

Mel felt a jolt in her eyelids and started to question whether coming here was the right decision.

"You're too impatient," Link remarked without glancing at Rek'Sai behind him, his gaze fixed on Ambessa in the main seat.

Before Ambessa could speak, Mel stepped forward and coldly asked, "What is your true purpose?"

"What is the Black Rose exactly?"

Link tilted his head, bypassing Mel to look at Ambessa.

"I can certainly tell you everything, but before that, shouldn't you ask your mother what she thinks?"

As Ambessa closed her eyes and took a deep breath, she grabbed a towel from beside her and tossed it at Rek'Sai.

"Leave."

Rek'Sai caught the towel, pressed it against his wound, retrieved his spear, and turned to leave.

"The general has quite a spirit," Link commented as he watched Rek'Sai exit the meeting room.

Ambessa picked up a teacup again and poured herself some hot tea.

"You coaxed my daughter to come find me; it can't just be to provoke me," Ambessa said while inhaling the fragrant steam from her tea. "State your purpose!"

"My purpose here is simple," Link smiled. "A great being has commanded me to assist you both in avoiding the threat of the Black Rose."

"Who?" Ambessa's gaze sharpened.

Link shook his head. "The time isn't right yet, General Ambessa."

"Ha, how cryptic."

"The more you act this way, the more you reveal your untrustworthiness."

"Your provocations are futile," Link replied with his arms crossed. "Moreover, let me speak frankly: your current situation isn't good."

Mel glanced between Link and her mother, biting her lip as she decided to listen to what they had to say.

"What do you mean?" Ambessa set down her teacup and adopted a listening posture.

"You traveled thousands of miles from Noxus to Piltover to acquire weapons made with Hextech so that you could have enough resources to return to Noxus and take revenge on the Black Rose."

"But now—" Link looked at Mel. "Because of your daughter, you cannot interfere with Piltover's council or decisions. Furthermore, since your daughter is a primary sponsor of Hextech, you cannot bypass her to get involved with Hextech technology."

"However, most critically, the Black Rose has already come knocking at your door."

Mel felt a jolt; she recalled Amara. Could Amara be one of the Black Rose's people?

"There's an old saying: when you find one cockroach in your house, it means there are many more hiding inside."

"The power held by the Black Rose is something you cannot currently contend with. You can only rely on external force and ferocity in an attempt to intimidate them."

"Unfortunately for you, the more you demonstrate force or intimidation, the more you expose your own weaknesses."

"They won't hesitate to bypass you and target your family directly—wasn't Gino killed for precisely this reason?"

Ambessa took a deep breath; as her eyelids lowered, she said solemnly, "How much do you actually know?"

"A lot," Link smiled. "What I know exceeds your imagination."

"Likewise, what I can offer you also exceeds your imagination."

"For example?" Ambessa asked as she tightened her jaw.

Link spoke confidently: "The terror of the Black Rose stems from her lies, her schemes, and her unknowns."

"But once we unveil the mystery surrounding the Black Rose, she will no longer pose a threat!"

"And I can help you uncover that mystery so that you possess the power to confront her!"

"Power?" Ambessa's expression showed interest as she looked at Link's exoskeleton.

"I am indeed very interested in this armor; if it could be outfitted for soldiers, my army would be invincible!"

"Ha..." Link chuckled and shook his head. "To you, power is tangible weapons."

"But for me, power is not just weapons; it also includes wisdom, knowledge, and truth!"

"Truth?" Ambessa's heart skipped a beat. "Do you mean—"

"I've said it before: I can help you unveil the Black Rose's true identity; thus I also know what her weaknesses are."

"So let's make a deal!"

Link stepped closer to Ambessa and extended his hand toward her.

"I'll reveal to you the truth about the Black Rose and her weaknesses; I'll help you return to Noxus for revenge."

"I can also assist in protecting your daughter and family."

"What do I need to give in return?" Ambessa didn't even glance at Link's outstretched hand but instead pressed forward aggressively: "With such generous terms, I don't believe it comes free."

"Your faith," Link replied. "And your commitment."

"To be frank, I want to stabilize relations between Piltover and Zaun; I want the Twin Cities to become a closely united whole."

"And this plan has one prerequisite: no external forces should interfere."

"So—" Link lowered his chin slightly. "You understand what I mean."

"You intend for me to leave Piltover?" Ambessa's eyelids flickered.

Link nodded. "That's right."

"Ha! Are you sure you can offer enough compensation?" Ambessa greedily eyed Link's exoskeleton.

Link smiled confidently: "I can offer far more than you can imagine!"

"Alright!" Ambessa seized Link's hand firmly. "As long as you can fulfill your promise, I will leave Piltover. But conversely, I need to see your sincerity first!"

"Of course! I will show you my sincerity."

Link clasped his hands together and began praying for Janna.

When dealing with someone like Ambessa, one must first tempt them with great benefits before intimidating them with powerful strength in order to achieve one's goals.

Now that they had reached an agreement, it was time to reveal some power as intimidation.

"O winds of change that whirl since ancient times and howl without end! Hear my plea; heed my call! Disperse the fog ahead for these lost lambs and guide them on their path forward."

Link's prayer was solemn and sacred; this made Ambessa gaze at him with uncertainty while Mel frowned deeply, unsure of what Link intended to do.

At that moment when Link finished speaking, a fierce wind suddenly swept through the meeting room.

In the tumultuous sound of wind, the fireplace was extinguished instantly.

The intense pressure of wind brought an indescribable suffocating sensation as a blurry silhouette slowly emerged within the whirlwind; an ethereal yet divine voice resonated throughout the cabin.

"The embodiment of wind awaits your command—"
