"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the grand finale of the League of Legends tournament in City H! Let's give a huge round of applause for our two incredible finalist teams!"
Applause erupted like a wave, rolling across the packed venue as the host's voice echoed through the arena.
"First up, let's welcome the strongest team in the city—Team RascalBan! Introducing their lineup:
Top laner: RBArf!!"
Cheers filled the air as the first player stepped onto the stage.
"Jungler: RBRain!!!"
The applause intensified.
"ADC: RBRkp!!
Support: RBLill!!
Substitute: RBsck!!
And finally, their mid laner and team captain—RBAlterMEN!!"
The crowd erupted into wild cheers as the six RascalBan players walked onto the stage, waving to their fans. With their immense popularity in City H, the team received a hero's welcome.
But then...
"Next, let's introduce our second finalist! Uh... wait... what?!"
The host hesitated, visibly thrown off.
"The Oldest King Unleashes a Railgun in the Nursery to Challenge Team Blank?!"
He blinked, bewildered, and muttered into his mic, "Who came up with this name? Why is it so long?"
Despite his internal grumbling, he forced a smile and continued, "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome their first player—Jungler: The Oldest King, Gilgamesh!!"
In that instant, a golden light illuminated the arena. As if on cue, a dazzling figure descended gracefully from the heavens.
"It's him! It's Gilgamesh!"
"Oh my god! That's The Oldest King! He's actually here!"
"I heard rumors about him being in City H, but I didn't think he'd compete in something like this!"
"Ugh, where have you been? Have you even watched Carnival Phantasm? Gilgamesh is totally an otaku!"
Gilgamesh stood tall on the stage, his golden armor gleaming under the lights. With an imperious glance at the six RascalBan players, he sneered.
"Pathetic mongrel," he declared with disdain. "Are you supposed to be this king's opponent?"
The audience was stunned into silence for a moment, then whispers of disbelief rippled through the crowd.
"Did he just call them mongrel?!"
"He's already taunting them—what a show!"
"I can't believe I'm witnessing this live! Worth every penny!"
The host quickly jumped in to steer the atmosphere back to a neutral tone. "Ahem! Moving on, let's meet their mid-laner—Yasuo!! Wait—what?! Yasuo?!"
As soon as the host's voice faded, a figure dashed to the center of the competition field, leaving an afterimage in its wake.
It was a lone swordsman. Standing tall at the center, he gripped a long blade with calm authority, nodded to the crowd, and then spoke in a low, steady voice:
"Death is like the wind, always by my side."
The audience froze, dumbfounded.
"Wait a second… is that… Yasuo?!"
"The real deal, Yasuo , actually joined this competition?! Am I dreaming right now?"
"When did Yasuo show up in the League scene?!"
"Yasuo! Yasuo! I'm your biggest fan! I've been playing him for 200 games straight!"
"Get lost! A mere 200 games? Try 2,000 games, like me! I'm the true Yasuo main here!"
"Master Yasuo!!! Please accept me as your student!!!"
With Yasuo's arrival, the venue erupted into chaos. Cheers, gasps, and wild applause swept through the audience. But on the other side of the stage, Team RascalBan fell silent.
Their captain frowned, visibly annoyed. "Captain, what do we do now?" one of his teammates asked nervously.
"What do we do? It's just Gilgamesh and Yasuo. Sure, they look cool, but this is a game, not a sword fight!" the captain barked back. "They're amateurs—we're pros. We've been grinding this game for years, while they're just showing off. Stay focused, and we'll destroy them!"
"Yes, boss!"
Their confidence rekindled, Team RascalBan hyped themselves up. After all, no matter how flashy Yasuo and Gilgamesh appeared, they were still newcomers. How could they compete with seasoned professionals?
But then...
"Let's welcome our next two players: ADC Sora and Support Shiro! The Blank Siblings!?"
A hush fell over the arena.
Many in the audience were anime enthusiasts or familiar with AC'G culture, which had gained massive popularity thanks to Alexander's influence. As soon as the names Sora and Shiro were announced, whispers filled the air.
"Wait a second... did I hear that right? Did he just say Blank?"
"Yeah, that's exactly what he said."
"Could it be the Blank I'm thinking of?!"
"Oh my god, it's Blank! The undefeated Blank! They've never lost a game as long as they're together!"
"It's over. It's completely over. RascalBan doesn't stand a chance against them."
