"How's your academy life going?" asked Dr. Yuki.

Ryu answered, "Mother Yuki, I completed my lightning affinity training and learnt basic close-range lightning jutsu. Now I'm working on a short-range lightning jutsu called Lightning Bolt." 

"Congratulations on your achievements," said Dr. Yuki.

Ryu continued, "I also learnt Fuinjutsu from Grandpa Dan and created some seals of my own. I even sold one to the village."

Yuki was stunned. Even if she was not a Fuinjutsu expert, she very well understood how hard it is to create a new seal. She looked at Dan, who nodded in confirmation.

"Won't that be dangerous?" she asked.

Dan smiled and said, "Are you forgetting I am also a grandmaster in Fuinjutsu?"

Yuki realised what Dan was trying to say.

"Don't worry, I registered that seal under my name, not Ryu's." Dan said.

Yuki looked at Ryu and asked, "How did you do that?"

Ryu smiled, glanced at Dan, and then back at Yuki.

He asked, "Mother Yuki, would you like to see me craft a new seal?"

Crafting a seal was many years' worth of effort, so she was a bit sceptical. But she nodded when Ryu asked that question.

Dan and Ryu exchanged a knowing look before Dan proceeded to put two chairs in front of her, one small in front for Ryu and the other for Yuki.

He said, "Please sit and put your hand on his shoulder."

- Genjutsu: Mind Palace Projection 

She was sceptical, but she didn't argue. When she put her hand on Ryu's shoulder, she began to experience interference in her chakra. Then Dan then began to explain the process.

He said, "It's a simple visual genjutsu. It is required to show you how Ryu does his magic. Try not to resist it."

Ryu said, "Mother Yuki, welcome to the [Mind Palace]." 

She asked him about the place, and Ryu told her that it was a place where he kept the things he learnt in a neat and well-organised fashion, and basically they are currently inside Ryu's well-organised mind.

Mother Yuki was amazed by the intricate details and organisation of the Mind Palace, realising it was a reflection of Ryu's mind.

"Let me show you," Ryu said as he snapped his fingers, and a colourful ball of light flew towards him and stopped in front of Dr. Yuki.

Sceptical what to do with this ball of lightning, she looked at Ryu, and Ryu assured her, "Touch it."

When she touched it, the [Knowledge Sphere] conjured a 3D model of the human cardiovascular system in front of them. It was nothing but blood vessels and a pumping heart, all in 3D. Dr. Yuki was amazed by the level of detail and realism in the 3D model, as she had never seen anything like it before.

Dr. Yuki looked at the cardiovascular system, and wherever her eyes lay on a particular vein or artery, the name of that particular part lit up in front of that section. 

"This is," she muttered.

Ryu completed her question with his answer and said, "This is [Knowledge Sphere], containing knowledge about the cardiovascular system of a human body."

Dr. Yuki marvelled at the sight and then looked at Ryu inside of this [Mind Palace] and then looked around at all the [Knowledge Spheres] floating above them. She couldn't believe the amount of information that was stored in this virtual space. She didn't know that it also contained knowledge from his past life. It was like stepping into a goddamn magical library.

Yuki said, "All this is."

Again, Ryu finished her sentence, "Yes, all this is what's in my mind. I call this place [Mind Palace]".

"Now, let's get back to the topic and finish what we came for," he then said. With a snap of a finger, a new improved [Passive Barrier Seal] appeared in front of them.

Dr. Yuki looked at this seal and understood it was an advanced seal by the complexity of this seal and asked, "What is this seal?"

Ryu explained, "This is the seal I created a month ago," and then he explained a bit about the seal. 

He said, "It only activates when it senses a presence or a ninjutsu coming at it through a feedback unit connected with a presence detection seal integrated into this seal. But now I am going to modify this further and make it next level. It's going to increase the complexity a bit, but this seal will revolutionise small barriers.

Yuki looked at Seal and then at Ryu with anticipation, wondering how he was going to achieve it.

Activate [Overclocking], Ryu thought.

- [Temporary Enhance] running on [Fast thinking] and [Parallel thinking]

- Overclocking enabled.

The next thing, the canvas in front of them, where the [Passive Barrier Seal] is placed, suddenly expanded, and all the control boundaries of the seal, all circles and rectangles, glowed brightly.

With a gesture of hand, they came out of all of the changed shapes and became hexagonal in shape, some small and some big, some of them clockwise and some anticlockwise. all connected like a complex diagram of a complex cyclic organic compound. 

- Establishing multiple feedback systems from the occipital lobe of the seal executor.

After that, they were rearranged on the canvas, with some hexagons inside of one another and others standing alone. They began to link with one another using additional seals, and some parts of the earlier seal could be seen inside of the hexagons.

- Barrier activation can now be triggered by the vision and imagination of the caster as a natural response to dangers.

- [ReflexGuard: Advanced Barrier Seal] successfully created.

- Overclocking disabled.

Ryu looked at this new seal and wanted to run a simulation on it, and he willed it in his thoughts.

- Simulation Running

- [ReflexGuard: Advanced Barrier Seal] successfully simulated and no errors found.

- No debugging required

Ryu looked at Yuki and said, "I am finished creating a new seal, Mother Yuki."

Dr. Yuki looked at this new complex seal, totally amazed. With a snap, the genjutsu broke, and both of them found themselves in the real world. She looked at Dan, and he knew without saying what she was going to say.

"Don't look at me like that; I was just as surprised as you are right now," Dan said.

Dan looked at Ryu and asked, "What seal did you create this time?"

Ran without repeating what he said to Dr. Yuki and just said, "It's just the [Passive Barrier Seal] on steroids. I took feedback from the occipital lobe of the caster to trigger the barrier activation as the caster's reflex action to dangerous visual inputs."

Ryu said, "I will now prepare this seal on fuinjutsu paper for execution now."

Ryu meticulously inscribed the [ReflexGuard: Advanced Barrier Seal] on Fuinjutsu paper, carefully crafting each hexagonal shape with precision over the course of half an hour. For Ryu, the complexity of this seal was similar to the old one, but for others, this seal was too new.

The hexagonal shapes in Fuinjutsu were something brand new. When Dan saw the seal, he was amazed by the sheer ingenuity of the seal. He did not have any idea how this seal works, but just by looking at the seal, he could tell that it was not a simple seal. 

Ryu had completely shifted the structure of the seal and segregated each separate function of the seal in different hexagons, all connected with each other through linear seals. Even the feedback system of the seal had its own feedback system.

Ryu asked, "Grandpa, can I execute it this time?"

Dan, breaking away from his thoughts, just nodded.

Ryu told Dan, "I also changed the running mechanism of the seal. Activating the seal requires channelling chakra into it, enabling it to remain operational until the chakra supply is depleted. Once activated, the seal functions autonomously, allowing the user to close the scroll while it continues to operate. It was a tradeoff between complexity, but it was worth it. Now everything below B-Rank jutsu can be blocked with this seal."

Ryu deftly weaved intricate hand seals before pressing his hands onto the scroll, initiating the execution of the [{No title}: Barrier Seal]. For a moment, it looked like something happened, but then suddenly the room went silent without any effect in the room.

Ryu closed the scroll and placed it in his hand and said, "Ok, grandpa, throw something at me."

Dan gave a silent nod and asked Dr. Yuki to step behind him.

Dan then formed some hand seals and threw some [Wind Style—Air Bullets] towards Ryu.

When the first [Air Bullet] was about to hit Ryu, a hexagonal shield formed and stopped the [Air Bullet]. Then all Air-Bullets were stopped in a similar fashion, with multiple hexagonal shields forming a honeycomb structure in the air. But as soon as it was, it and jutsu dissipated, and the shield disappeared. 

Ryu then asked Dan to throw some shuriken, and Dan took a few shuriken and launched them at Ryu.

"Shadow Shuriken Jutsu!" he shouted as he threw the shurikens and formed some hand seals.

Dan looked at Ryu, protected by the appearing and disappearing hexagonal shield that disappeared right after the impact of the shuriken, and said, "Magnificent."
