Pokémon Breeder In One Piece!

Chapter 325: Chapter 325

"Huh? Not necessary. We'll just conduct a selection process when the time comes," Dak said nonchalantly. "I won't be stepping down for another 10 or 20 years, so taking on a disciple now feels way too early."

"How can you guarantee the quality of someone picked last minute?"

Madara took the matter seriously. "If your disciple becomes the second Alliance Leader, the current high-ranking officials won't have any objections. But if there's no disciple or direct heir, the Alliance leadership might fracture as everyone tries to push their own candidate forward."

Even Konoha—a small village—had faced divisions over leadership. Imagine the chaos the Pokémon Alliance could face in such a scenario.

"Dak, you should take this seriously," Izuna added. "Starting now isn't too early. Twenty years later, your disciple will be in their thirties, the perfect age for leadership."

Even Izuna's tone carried unusual weight, indicating how deeply the Akatsuki's past struggles had affected them.

"It's not a big deal to take on a disciple," Hanzo chimed in. "You don't even need to make a public announcement—just teach them occasionally. Stop being so stubborn."

With all four voicing their agreement, Dak sighed.

"Uncle Dak, how about taking me as your disciple?"

"Get outta here."

Dak had already figured out Kibu's mischievous nature and wasn't about to take her words seriously.

"This isn't an urgent matter. You can think about it for a while—"

Boom!

Before Madara could finish, the ground trembled slightly.

The vibration wasn't strong, and ordinary people likely wouldn't have noticed it. However, everyone present wasn't ordinary.

"What happened?"

Madara turned to Dak. On Pokémon Island, any unusual events naturally fell under Dak's jurisdiction.

"Arf! Arf!"

From the depths of the courtyard, two large Arcanine darted out—one belonging to Madara and the other to Izuna.

Moments later, Kakuzu's Tangrowth emerged, moving lazily yet exuding curiosity. Hanzo's Qwilfish was likely somewhere in the water.

Strong.

Using his psychic powers, Dak casually scanned the Pokémon. Though the reading wasn't precise, the strength of these Pokémon was evident.

Despite their sizes being only about 1.5 times the average for their species, they were clearly formidable.

Growing up in the Shinobi World rather than the One Piece world, they lacked the exaggerated traits seen in the latter. This made it easier for Dak to assess their development using standard breeding metrics.

By his estimation, after over 30 years of growth, these Pokémon had likely reached Lv. 70 or higher—putting them at near-Champion level in the Pokémon world.

This kind of growth was only possible through Madara and the others' dedicated care, despite their busy schedules.

"I don't know," Dak admitted, shaking his head. But he had a hunch. "It's probably related to those guys."

If there had been a real crisis on Pokémon Island, Giratina would've shown up immediately.

Since that hadn't happened, it was likely just a minor issue caused by one of the "gods."

Buzz.

As Dak pondered, a pink vortex suddenly appeared beside him.

"Palkia…"

Seeing the vortex's color, Dak immediately recognized who had arrived.

Even if Palkia hadn't come to him, Dak would've eventually guessed it was responsible. None of the other Legendary Pokémon behaved like this.

Emerging from the vortex, Palkia stood beside Dak, wringing its hands like a guilty child.

The others looked on curiously at the white and pink Pokémon.

Having visited the Primeval Shrine, a landmark building on Pokémon Island, they knew of "the Space God, Palkia." But this was their first time seeing it in person.

"What did you do?"

Dak crossed his arms and gave Palkia a sideways glance.

"…"

Palkia remained silent.

"Judging by your expression, it must've been something big."

Dak's face darkened.

If it were a small issue, Palkia would've resolved it before Dak even noticed. For it to behave like this meant it had caused an irreparable problem.

"Dak."

Darkrai suddenly appeared out of nowhere, holding a young girl with blue hair.

"…?"

Dak blinked in confusion, his brows furrowing.

Darkrai began explaining the situation.

It all started two or three days ago, after Dak returned from the Shinobi World with Dialga.

While Dialga shared stories of their recent adventures with the other Legendaries, Palkia grew restless.

From its perspective, Dak and Dialga had gone off on a fun adventure without it—a betrayal that left Palkia feeling both angry and left out.

Unable to confront Dak, Palkia vented its frustration on Dialga.

Though Dialga was generally mild-mannered, it wasn't one to back down from a fight. The two began sparring.

Both held back to avoid causing too much commotion and attracting Giratina or Dak. However, the combined powers of Space and Time, even restrained, had unintended effects.

One such effect was a small rift in space-time that briefly connected to another world.

Through sheer bad luck, a child from that world was sucked into the rift and brought to Pokémon Island.

Neither Palkia nor Dialga could determine which world or timeline the child came from, making it impossible to send her back.

Panicked, Palkia turned to Darkrai for help, who convinced it to come clean to Dak.

Dialga, believing itself blameless, refused to show up.

"This…"

Dak rubbed his temples, his gaze falling on the blue-haired girl.

Though she seemed vaguely familiar, Dak couldn't immediately place her. He had encountered countless people across worlds—how could he identify her so quickly?

First, Dak used his abilities to check the girl's physical condition. Once confirming she was healthy, he gently used his psychic powers to wake her.

"Mm?"

The girl slowly opened her eyes, her expression dazed as she took in her unfamiliar surroundings.

Looking at her hands, she noticed she felt weaker than usual, her strength seemingly drained.

"You're awake? Umm…"

Dak hesitated, unsure how to explain the situation. He decided to start with a simple question. "Do you have any family?"

"…No. A few days ago, my entire clan was wiped out."

Her hollow eyes revealed deep emotional trauma, though a faint glimmer of resilience remained. She was a strong-willed child.

"Danger Beasts?"

She stood up, scanning her surroundings before her gaze landed on the Pokémon present.

Surprisingly, she didn't seem overly concerned about where she was.

"What's your name?"

"Esdeath."

The girl answered mechanically, patting down her clothes as if searching for something. "Where's my dagger?"

"It must've fallen somewhere."

Probably lost in the space-time rift.

Cold sweat broke out on Dak's forehead as he processed her name and identity.

He finally realized who this girl was and which world she came from.

Esdeath, the primary antagonist from Akame ga Kill!—the youngest and most powerful general in the Empire, wielder of the ice-based Teigu, Demon's Extract.

A combat maniac and sadistic queen, Esdeath was known for her charisma and leadership, beloved by both her troops and the general populace.

But that was the Esdeath of the future, a 20-year-old woman.

This Esdeath seemed to be only 11 or 12 years old, likely before she had consumed the blood of a Danger Beast to acquire her Teigu.

Even without the Teigu, Esdeath's innate talent and strength had already made her a general in the Empire—proof of her exceptional abilities.

"Oh."

Esdeath's curt response was followed by silence.

"…Do you want to do anything?"

Dak awkwardly tried to keep the conversation going.

"…Become stronger."

Esdeath's eyes lit up with determination.

As a princess of the Rubeck Tribe, she had been raised with a survival-of-the-fittest mentality. After her clan's annihilation by northern invaders, this belief only strengthened.

Her obsession with power stemmed from this ideology.

"…"

Dak turned back to look at Madara and the others, who were all meeting his gaze. It was clear they were all thinking the same thing.

"How about becoming my disciple? I'm incredibly, incredibly strong," Dak offered, grinning down at the blue-haired girl.

From what he knew of Esdeath, she could become an exceptional Alliance Leader in the future—someone as imposing as Madara externally and as compassionate as Hashirama internally.

"Prove it."

Young Esdeath wasn't easily swayed. Her pride dictated that she would only follow the strongest, and even then, only with the goal of surpassing them.
