TSWFF: A West Coast Story

After hyping me up Lily lead the way for us to get into the Del Monte Forest once more to help me overcome my newly made fear from the place alone.

And since riding on horseback is much faster than me running it only took minutes for us to pass through the Poppy Hills Golf Course and into the section of the woods I ran away from early.

"Lily, slow down! We are getting close!" I shouted out which made her galloping run slow down to a trot while the mark on my hand began to glow in intensity along with it beginning to throb in pain.

Right now we were in the woods and I could feel the eyes watching me now along with the fact the mark was hurting as the glow became more intense, "Lily! She's here!"

I say that as we both began to look around us while my heart began to beat rapidly as fear started to take me over once more.

I kept looking around until I finally saw her once again as she appeared not far away within the shadow of a tree nearby as she cracked the tree she was on with her large clawed hands.

Lily saw her as well making her step back as the sight of her startled her but I got off her back as the mark on my hand pulsed and throbbed in pain.

"Ugh, stay here Lily, I'll deal with this." I say as I was able to stand up while my legs shaked from fear along with the tiredness of running earlier still hitting me.

I don't know what I was expecting but she wasn't moving but I felt the mark on the back of my hand burn more as I brought it closer to her.

I raised my hand towards her as I began to make my approach, every step I took the searing pain in my hand increased while at the same time she seemed to get larger in both body height and body width compared to me, at a distance she seemed slightly taller than me maybe around 6ft 6in but as I got closer to her she got taller and taller until when I was less than a foot away and now she was twice that height standing at 12ft tall.

At this point my hand was burning in pain but she still wasn't doing anything and was just watching me get close to her until I mustered up the courage to reach out and touch her leg.

*Shoom*

When I did so I suddenly felt a suction force come off of my hand which made me fall to my knees in pain as I felt something enter my body through my hand, but I couldn't open my eyes do to both pain and the bright red light coming from my hand and the Wendigo.

Less than a minute later the light faded along with the pain being less intense letting me open up my eyes and looked around to realize that she was gone with only the damaged tree to say she was there.

I looked at my hand to see the deer skull which had now changed making its size smaller curving it on my hand with a small number 1 on it along with showing what looked like 11 more blank spots on the back of my hand which then faded away with the tattoo staying for a little while before it disappeared as well.

"What does this even mean?" I couldn't help but mutter as I looked at my hand before I heard the sound of hooves behind me.

"Markus! You okay?" Lily asked as she came up to my side while I pulled myself up.

"Yeah…. I'm alright, Lily would it be alright if you helped take me home?" I asked her as my legs were still sore.

"Sure, after everything that has happened I would want to go home as well, just show me the way and I will bring you there." Lily said before helping me climb up and on top of her back.

So soon enough I told her where I lived as we headed back to my home but the thoughts of the events of the day kept playing in my head while I kept staring at the back of my hand wondering what exactly I had gotten from all of this and why it was that it looks like there might be 11 more things to complete the circle shaped tattoo on my hand.

But not long later we reached my new home as I hopped on off her back, "Thanks for giving me a ride Lily, if I don't see you again this summer I'll see you when school starts." I said to her as she reverted back to her original non-centaur form.

"No problem Markus, just keep in touch with me alright? You can talk to me about this if anything happens okay?" She told me to which I nodded while we exchanged phone numbers before she waved goodbye and went off to continue her daily exercise.

Soon enough I came back into the house only to see many foo prints on the ground leading down to my room which I found had all of my stuff inside of it such as my bed, computer system, laptop, tv, dresser and clothes in my new walk in closet.

When Cassandra said she was hiding professional movers she really meant it as it only took half a day to move all the stuff from our old house and over to this house along with rebuilding my old bed, not to mention they knew what cords went into where for each monitor into my computer along with my Tv being the same way.

So I sat on my bed before falling back while I looked at my hand seeing the mark appear before disappearing and sighing as a result.

"I don't get it, what does it all mean?" I asked myself as I don't know what I had gained from all of this but I guess I should just not think about it and get some sleep tonight in order to rest my body and mind.

After a rather awkward dinner with Pearl who couldn't even look at me still and ran back to her room to eat the rest of the food I could only sigh before heading to the bathroom to clean myself up before heading off to bed.

The bathroom was a rather large one with a huge bathtub to be able to lay down and relax in, and as tired as I was I felt like I needed to relax more than anything.

But while I wasn't paying attention my mark began to glow as I filled the tub quickly with water before I got on in.

I then leaned back into two massive pillows that kept my head in a comfortable position making me relax even more.

'Man these pillows make this all the more comfortable…. Wait…. Pillows?' I couldn't help but think as I slowly opened my eyes only for them to widen in shock as I wanted to scream but nothing came out.

And that's because I was now laying on top of the Wendigo who has suddenly appeared under me in order to give me a comfortable place to lay upon.

Her eyes glowed brightly before it all faded to black….
