Chapter 401: Chapter 401: One Tailed Beast Ball Is Not Enough? Then Try Another One
"Nine-Tails, if this turtle is gone, will the Cloud Village be angry?"
Kushina's mischievous eyes gleamed as she hatched a sudden idea.
At present, both the Cloud Village and the Mist Village were stuck in a tense standoff, restricted to minor skirmishes in disputed waters. Neither side had escalated the conflict further, and this stalemate didn't sit well with Kushina.
She wanted the two villages to clash outright.
The Nine-Tails remained silent for a moment before replying, "Maybe."
"That's perfect!" Kushina clenched her fists with excitement and waved them enthusiastically.
"Big fox, how about throwing a Tailed Beast Ball at it?"
The Nine-Tails hesitated. Not a great idea.
It wasn't particularly interested in fighting turtles, but it couldn't outright refuse her.
"I can't guarantee I'll hit it," it replied cautiously. The turtle was enormous and probably slow-moving, but what if it dove into the sea?
"It's okay!" Kushina grinned, her confidence unshaken. "I'll have Jin Ya assist you. If it dives, Jin Ya will bite it!"
"???"
Bite it?
Jin Ya, Kushina's giant python summoning beast, stared at her in disbelief. Did it hear that right? Bite this colossal turtle?
Even with its size and strength, the turtle was massive—biting it might end with a broken jaw. While the teeth would eventually grow back, the pain was not something Jin Ya looked forward to.
"Don't want to, Jin Ya?" Kushina asked sweetly, her smile promising no escape.
"I do!" Jin Ya's consciousness transformed into a small snake and nodded frantically. It knew better than to refuse Kushina outright. However, it threw a desperate glance at the Nine-Tails, silently begging for an alternative.
The Nine-Tails ignored the plea. If I have to cooperate, so do you. Go deal with it.
Jin Ya sighed in resignation.
Back in the real world, Jin Ya surfaced, opening its massive jaws wide. Standing confidently in its mouth, Kushina channeled golden chakra, which quickly formed into a colossal Nine-Tails head.
The chakra fox's mouth opened, and two streams of chakra—one positive, the other negative—swirled together to form a dense sphere.
Far away, the turtle floating in the sea suddenly froze, its instincts screaming danger. With a panicked roar, it tried to alert the beasts and ninjas on its back.
"What's going on?"
"Massive chakra! Is there an enemy attack?"
The ninjas stationed on Turtle Island, Kumogakure's mobile fortress, barely had time to react before a massive Tailed Beast Ball came hurtling toward them.
The sight left the ninjas dumbfounded.
"What kind of Tailed Beast is this?"
The Cloud ninjas, veterans of numerous tailed beast rampages, couldn't comprehend what was happening. They racked their brains but couldn't recall any sea-based tailed beast this powerful.
Unfortunately for them, the Tailed Beast Ball's speed was as astounding as its destructive power.
Boom!
The Nine-Tails had unleashed its attack with stunning efficiency. As the strongest of the tailed beasts, it excelled at both speed and destructive capability. Turtle Island, too large and too slow to evade, had no chance.
The massive explosion engulfed the island. The force shook the entire structure, sending shockwaves across the sea. Trees were uprooted, animals scattered, and a deafening roar echoed as the massive turtle tried in vain to dive.
"Big fox, one more shot!"
"Fine," the Nine-Tails replied, now fully invested. The first strike hadn't been enough to finish the turtle, so it eagerly prepared another.
The turtle, dazed and in excruciating pain, barely had time to recover before the second Tailed Beast Ball struck directly onto its already-damaged shell.
The resulting explosion was catastrophic. The entire Turtle Island was torn apart. Blood dyed the sea crimson as the massive creature's body disintegrated. Chunks of flesh and shell sank into the depths of the ocean.
Jin Ya's eyes glinted with greed. Without hesitation, it tossed Kushina gently onto a safe platform and dived into the sea, eager to devour the remains. The flesh of such a colossal beast was an excellent source of nourishment, perfect for accelerating its growth.
As it gorged itself, Jin Ya silently resolved to grow even larger.
Meanwhile, the ripples of this destruction reached far beyond the battlefield. The massive chakra fluctuations from the Tailed Beast Balls spread across the ocean, catching the attention of nearby patrol ships from both the Cloud and Mist Villages.
